Read data from the PSX

I want my EFB, I have written for FS9/FSX, adapt to the beautiful PSX.

I would like to read the current position and the current time in the PSX. How do I do that best?  Is there an SDK for the PSX? I'm programming in VB.Net, Java I have no experience.
