VisualPSX - Weather and Time not updated in FSX...

I started to use the latest version of VisualPSX, and I do notice improvements in smoothness and stuttering ( now almost gone in my low-end system, running fsx in dx10 fixed mode... ).

There is only one problem I started noticing after I created a default startup situation: PSX stopped traneferring the UTC time and Weather updates to FSX?

I have tried everything, but whenever I load a situ in PSX, with both sims already in sync through VisualPSX, if I change the time in FSX, it stays the same in FSX.

Under some circumstances the landing gear also stays always down.

I believe this only started to happen when I created that situation ( ? ). I did it to start fsx already with the 747, and at LPPR 03, with outside views set to "Spot", and no dynamic head movement in 3d cockpit view. Might the weather and time settings set for that fsx situation get stuck, and preventing PSX from updating it?

This issues are unfortunately known by a lot of Visual PSX users, like me. I think Garry is aware about that and will work on a fix. I hope...

Stupid question, but what is "dx10 fixed mode"?

cagarini

Sorry,

it was an abreviation of saying - using Steves DX10 Fixer, an add-on that helps flawlessly converting FSX to DX10 mode.

DX10 uses your GPU more than DX9, freeing the CPU from many rendering tasks, and making FSX run smoother on most systems.

Of course, the better the graphics card, the better the end result.

When I add the DisablePreload=1 entry to the MAIN section of FSX.cfg, the problems apparently were gone ( ? )

For me this is really no big deal since I am not using FSX for any thing except producing visuals for PSX.

Hi,

Having read about issues with psx and fsx using visual psx anyone else sorted out the jerkiness of visuals in fsx yet.
