I too routinely have issues with logging in, logging out, or posting. This happens mostly on my PC (Win7), but has also happened on my other Apple devices.

Glad I'm not alone. :-)

Clear your browser's cache?

Can you be logged in to the forum from 2 devices at the same time? I initially thought that might the issue but it wasn't. I'll try clearing the cache as suggested next time.

Thanks,

You can be logged in from two devices at the same time, without difficulty.

Moi,

unable to log in:
-- cookies blocked?

unable to post:
-- scripts blocked? (NoScript etc.)
What exactly happens when you e.g. hit the Reply button?
-- nothing at all, or
-- reply editor window opens but you can't enter text, or
-- you can enter text but not Preview or Submit, or
-- ?

Cheers,
Martin

Hi
This is the weirdest thing I ever encounterd.
A few days ago did an update on my ipad to ios 8.02
After that I could not login to this forum anymore. All others forums or navigraph , my IP , they all worked fine.

Yesterday tried to post a reply on my laptop here and when clicking preview the text just vannished.
Tried again with the ok button, nothing, textfield blank.
Next step my flight pc, there I could not log in and the remember me option had a text
" this feature is not possible on your board because it can not set or read cookies"

So tried to log out on my laptop, this did not work
Laptopruns windows 8.1 , and google chrome.
Remember that it always worked and I did not  change anything.
Run virus scan, removed al my cookies, cleared the cache.
Nothing helpt.
Installed firefox, the same, not possible to log in.
Tried my flight pc then, removed the cache and cookies, latest updates, nothing
Always this text
text
" this feature is not possible on your board because it can not set or read cookies"
Now I have 2 pc's and an ipad that can not login.

I have a wireless modem from my provider and have power adapter to boost my signal that is to weak where my flight pc is.
Tried both network signals, tried wifi and wire. Nothing

My provider has an option so if you share your wifi signal and let it act as a homespot so others could use your signal to connect there wifi you can do the same from other clients.
Now I am connected on such a homespot and I can log in!

My already very thin hears getting thinner by the minute.
Maybe punnished for the very bad landing the other day? :P

I bet your setup has changed IP address and your old, now outdated IP address sticks around in a place you don't expect. When you submit something to the Forum, the Forum sees that the IP addresses don't match and gets confused.  Your router which usually does Network Address Translation is a primary trouble spot for such an issue. Try rebooting the router, not your PCs.

Hy Hoppie,
Reset the router, reset my modem, nothing.
Still can not log in with my own wifi signal.
I made a new account, the same.
I hope I can log in with the homespot signal and then switch to my own and stay logged in.
Contacted my IP and they can not help me

Hi Ivo,

I also regularly have trouble on this forum. At first I couldn't log in, now I still very often have the vanishing text issue when posting. Quickly pasting my text and posting a second time is my work-around.
The search function also doesn't work - search query vanishes when pressing search.

My issues exist on OSX using Safari, on iOS 7 & 8 using Safari, on Windows 7 using IE and Windows 8.1 using IE both at home and at the last hotel I was staying.
I'm a bit at loss as to why this is happening, especially as I don't encounter problems on other forums. 😢

Keep us posted if you find a solution.

Hi,

I re-installed my old Windows xp computer to jump in on this. I have the same problems with my Windows 7 computer; not able to post messages or to contact the admin. I can only read the messages as a gast.
My login and pasword simply disapears after pussing the OK button and leave me with blanc fields The Remember me function is also disabled because it seems to be not possible to recieve cookies but i found the aerowinx cookies in the cookies map.

Freddy.

Hoppie,

I use a VPN, which of course provides a different IP address each time that is not related to my ISP-provided IP address.

Yet I have no trouble logging in or posting.  How does one reconcile this favorable behavior with the scenario you describe?

I have very occasionally had trouble logging in or with the system keeping track of what posts I've seen, but this is usually fixed by clearing out my Firefox caches, history, etc, from within Firefox.
Best wishes,

Phil Bunch

Sounds to me like paranoid security settings, perhaps of the browser (as opposed to the Operating System).
"Incognito" (a.k.a. "Private") browser mode unintentionally selected perhaps?

Ivo said that he tried both Chrome and Firefox.

Since the same computer with the same browser connects when using a shared Wi-Fi hotspot, maybe Ivo could try a factory restore of his router and modem  (not restart -- factory restore.)

Ivo de Colfmaker

Hi,
this is what I tried until now.
pc 1 with windows 7 and  Google chrome and Firefox
laptop with windows 8.1 and Google chrome and Firefox
Ipad with  IOS 8.02 and safari
I have in my home the modem /router from my internet provider that sends a wifi signal  at 2.4 Ghz ,this is my own private signal.
And a wifi signal at 5 Ghz, this is the public home spot signal.
because the modem/router 's signal is to weak, I have a Devolo  power adapter attached to the modem by cable and the other end plugged in to a wall socket near my pc.
this also sends a wifi signal.
disabled this signal, no difference.
The problem begun when updating IOS 7 to 8.02 on my ipad ,maybe a coincidence.
reset my modem to get a new ip address ,
rest my modem to factory defaults like Shiv said
I have the same as Fredje
quote" My login and password disappears after pushing the ok button and leave me with blank fields.
the remember me button also disabled because this board can not set or read cookies. "unquote.
I now logged in on my laptop using the home spot signal and changed to my private signal.
it stays logged in .
My ipad does not remember the cookies apparently, so have to switch each time to public signal to read or post something when not in the hangar forum.
It would be nice to get it solved, but if not I just have to live with it.
at least I can log in,
ivo
ps: just noticed that even logged  in  my post is not accepted and the text field blanks with my private wifi signal .

Ivo, I'm sure you must have googled a lot by now ... did you try this?

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6553211

Ivo de Colfmaker

Hi Shiv,
Tried it, no luck
Gonna unplug the poweradapter, set modem to factory defaults, and if it then still not works I will have to bring in an expert, because I am on the end of my knowledge here.

Ivo, I apologise ... but I'm one of those annoying people who never stops !!!   Did you try factory reset on your wifi ROUTER ?
