Hello Gentlemen,

I would like to show what amazing job Nico KAAN did with psxseecon, and what this wonderful software can do. As you probably know, this software is a link between SIOC and PSX. Thus, you can use the very wide offer of Opencockpits stuff for your cockpit hardware and interface it with PSX. It makes the SIOC coding process very very easy (SIOC is the Opencockpits cards interface software). After you understand the basics of SIOC and read psxseecon manual, a child can do it ! Nico did all the background job. Actually, I interface a MIP, Glareshield and Overhead. 2561 lines of SIOC code and 722 variables are working perfectly thanks to psxseecon. When you see that psxseecon offers 1968 pre-defined variables, you understand the power of this software.  Nico is very reactive on his forum and the very few inevitable release bugs I detected have been corrected very quick, sometimes within only a couple of hours. It's amazing for a non commercial software (see the EULA on Nico's website for details). Actually, everything is working perfectly with version 1.0.20 of psxseecon. No bugs, great stability, great smoothness, unlimited possibilities as PSX offers. It was written with the same perfection goal than PSX. Nico, again, a very big thank you for your amazing job and contribution. Your software is for me as important as PSX. Without it, my cockpit will stay definitively dead. You brought it alive. Thank you ! If you come one day in the north of France, near Lille, my cockpit door is open for you  ;)

Here is a link of my hardware in action, with PSX and psxseecon :

Hello,

yes, reading and seeing this -- it's really amazing what Nico has developped in such a short time. Thank you for your contributions, Nico!

And your flight deck photos, Jean-Philippe, look very realistic indeed! Congrats! :-)

Cheers,

Thanks for the compliment Hardy.

Just another cockpit-thing.. interfaced via PSXeecon by Nico Kaan.

Here too, a small glitch (CLR key) was fixed within hours !

The messages lights test is of course via the Overhead Lights Test button
(and NOT via the SIOC-monitor software ....) :D
The brackets (second photo) are real.
(The key's here are slightly shining through, because the bright leds are (not yet) dimmed enough).

I think about making my SELCAL code:  HH-NK..... Reserved... ;)

Hi guys,

@Hardy: Danke schön!
@Jean-Philippe: Merci beaucoup!
@Hessel: dankjewel!

No, I'm not applying for a job at the European Commission, coding in C++ is more my kind of work  ;)

Cheers,
Nico

I can only agree with my fellow simmers! Thanks Hardy and Nico!!

I'm running a much more modest setup (single EFIS control panel and MCP) and I'm thrilled I can now use it with PSX thanks to psxseecon.

Cheers,
Sylvain
