The title says it all, really.    :D

The download (and changelog) are available from: http://flightsimsoft.com/downloads/

(I think it must be popular — it's certainly downloading very slowly....      )

Thx Brian!

And given that I just bought and installed PFPX yesterday, this comes as a very welcome bonus :-)

For those who may not be familiar with PFPX, there are many tutorials available already at Youtube channels, but I really liked this one in particular.

Hi José!

A pleasure.    :D    Incidentally, Part 2 of "Getting started with PSX" has Appendix 2 dedicated to listing resources (both written and video) for learning PFPX. Have fun!    ;)

Cheers,

Brian

P.S. Having now tried the route export, it works perfectly. Of course, it doesn't append an underscore to the name, so be prepared to uncheck the "Requires route uplink" box on the Situation | Human | Dispatcher page of the Instructor Station — if that's what you want, of course.    8)

Hi Brian,
For me there is still a problem.
Pfpx  set the path to the PSX routes folder  under documents,  so it creates  a folder documents/aerowinx/routes.
I can not set the path to the aerowinx/routes folder, first because then there is an error  path not found . And second my prepar3D flightplan also need this documents path.

The latter is needed to get the flightplan in the EFB.

A day at this forum is a day learned!

Looks like it is going to be a copy job... you can even write a one-liner that stupidly copies all files from A to B when you click it.

Hi,

calling this an "export" function is slightly exaggerated. There is no format change. It's simply a "save" function. PSX gets a pure plain PFPX route file. PFPX does not know how to create an Aerowinx route file. But PSX knows how to read a PFPX file.

Just save as ...

You can change that path to what you want...
is just an initial setting. I'm not at my pc now but I believe it is the Browse  button in the all-addons tab (select the PFPX line first).
Worked fine for me, I save over my network at the the aerowinx/routes folder at my fsx pc.

Hi!

That's it: you can use the "Browse" button (I know, not the obvious choice but...) to set the correct path, and it will then be remembered.

The steps are:

1. Click on Export in the Route group

2. Click on "Aerowinx PSX (Precision Simulator X)" in the list

3. Click the "Browse" button and browse to the directory you want to save the .route file to (\\Aerowinx\\Routes), then click the OK button

4. (The directory should now appear in the "Location" column alongside PSX). Click on the checkbox to the left of the same line.

You're done (it's a one-time setting). When you click the Save button on the Route export screen you will now get a copy of the .route file in the directory you specified in step 3.

I have always used the Save As button, then loaded the route in the FMC. As Hardy said, not sure how the new export helps?

Will

Not really usable for me, since I run PFPX in VirtualBox and PSX in OSX on the Mac... but perhaps some added simplicity for others.

Well, this may come as a shock, but there *are* simmers out there who can grope their way round the CDU pages but have enormous difficulty with files and directories and that sort of stuff.

So by providing a function which does the file copy for them, the PFPX team are meeting a need which does exist.    8)

Thanks for info on this - thinking time to update a few things on the PC, including PFPX.
