Does anyone know if FDS will release software interface for the Radio Control Panel and XPONDER.

CDU and MCP/EFIS already released  ;)

It's being worked on.

Hi Jon,

Do you how long this will take to develop and where will the software be available? At tekworx?

Hi Brent,

will this also be for the entire tekworx spectrum, e.g. Gear Lever, and Overhead Panel?
Or is there a separate schedule?

PSXinterfaceIT is available now on request.  It still has a few things left to include but if a copy is needed please email me at jon(AT)flightdecksolutions.com and I will email you a copy.

Hi John, I have the same question as Peter. Would this allow the use of the FDS clock, brake gauge, overhead, etc?

jb747

Hi,

It does the digital inputs and outputs... so any switch or light will be available with PSXinterfaceIT.  It does not support the analog inputs/outputs... brake gauge dial, etc.

Hi GodAtum,

I built my own overhead panel with parts (buttons, switches ans annunciators) from FDS. It works well with the mentioned restrictions.

The lights, switches and buttons are very easy to assign. Read the manual for "on release" actions e.g. for gear lever or beacon light.

Thanks for the replies. I was not aware of there being digital and analogue inputs/outputs. Is there a list of each somewhere?

Are the backlighting knobs supported too?

At first, I'm hoping to build something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJw0UG1rXy0

The FDS FC-1 joystick controllers are used for analog inputs such as screen dimming, and key back lighting.  The panels are most typically backlit by using PWD controllers instead of software.  At present for PSX the digital I/O is enabled through PSXinterfaceIT.  The analog side is still in development.

My apologies for not replying to anyone in this post, I didn't realize notifications were not enabled on my profile.

An update for the Radio and XPNDR's.  The driver is taking a little longer than expected, however it is in beta now with a couple of minor features to be finished.  You should see a post later this week with the release.

As for the rest of the boards, development has started to integrate PSX into the interfaceIT MCS software that controls the rest of the boards, more on this to come.

Hi Brent,

Sweet.

Can't wait to hear aerowinx controllers and ATC chatter through the RCP.
