Can't get TrafficPSX to work

Quote from: United744Hi,

I found a couple of issues with TrafficPSX:

* Does not send the keybind to the ATC client when PSX PTT is pushed
* Crashes if transponder code starts with zero
* Crashes when PSX power is removed off the AC busses

VisualPSX:

* Does not maintain FSX battery (default 747). FSX load situation is fully running, and is OK for about 2 minutes after starting VisualPSX. FSUIPC installed but NOT registered.

Other than these, flawless.  8)

Re TrafficPSX:

I was unable to reproduce the PTT problem. For the PTT key to work you need to run TrafficPSX on the same PC as your pilot client and to select the correct client in the TrafficPSX options.

Both crashes are due to a bug in TrafficPSX. This is fixed in version 5.5 (not yet released).

Re VisualPSX:

I was not able to reproduce this problem, but I then thought to check my aircraft.cfg file. I had added to the [electrical] section the line electric_always_available = 1. I think we may have discussed this on the forum at some time. I will add a note to the manual.

Thanks for your report. Let me know if the PTT problem persists.

Cheers,
Garry

Hi Garry,

Yes, both client, TrafficPSX and PSX itself are all running on the same computer. I tried several keys, and whilst the PSX PTT key responds, nothing is heard from the client (pressing the assigned key directly DID work).

As I have the PSX PTT mapped to a stick button, I assigned it to the same stick button directly in the pilot client as a work-around.

I'll add the aircraft.cfg entry to the file.

Great modules, and great support! :D

Hi,

It seems to be isolated to vPilot; SB works fine.

A good clue! I downloaded the latest update to vPilot and found that its class name has changed.

You should be able to get the PTT working through TrafficPSX by editing your PilotClients.cfg file. Simply replace the vPilot line with this one:

vPilot;vPilot;WindowsForms10.Window.8.app.0.3c73ab4

It should work after you start (or restart) TrafficPSX.

Garry
