Hi,
is AdaptPSX able to connect Precision Flight Controls (serial interface) wtih PSX via a serial card / port?
Kind regards,
Carsten

Hi John,
Thanks a lot for this wonderful software.  AdaptPSX is really great.
But I have a little problem, maybe I 'm overlooking something in the settings.
But on my Aerosoft MCP suite, I can easily use the Capt EFIS, MCP, EICAS, but the F/O EFIS is not working.
Normally it should be operational, as it always has worked in Project Magenta.

Any suggestions were I have to look ?

MCP is connection via serial port  - com4

Hi,

I haven't been able to test this as I don't have the FO EFIS, but another user reports they had to run the configuration program for the MCP and ensure it was configured for the FO EFIS.

SimSwitch Bug:

Ive had a report of a major bug in SimSwitch... when the main server goes offline, then comes back online, SimSwitch continues to connect multiple times to the server.  I will look into this soon and update the program.

Hi John!

I just undusted my good old EPSON TM88II serial ticket printer... and thanks to AdaptPSX it just works!
I only noticed a small bug: last line of text isn't printed with the message... but gets printed at the beginning of the next message: I get something like "CR" or "LF" is missing...
Ooooh, and I just think: could it be possible to add some "line feeds" after the normal text lines (possibly user-configurable number of line feeds to add before ending the printing), so that with printers using paper rolls, we would be able to simply tear the paper without having to press the "paper forward" button to avoid scratching the last line...

Hi John,

Fantastic piece of software, congratulations !

However, I have a problem with the printer feature. When I try to print an ACARS ATIS message, my printer gets busy (icons comes up within windows task bar) but the printer physically doesn't start. If I open the icon in windows, it shows "0 document for printer..." AdaptPSX is configured "enable printer output" checked and my printer selected in the scroll list.

I tested the printer with a simple wordpad text, it works fine.

Do you have an idea ?

Hi John,

I was happy to find out about your adaptpsx tool since I still own an ancient aerosoft mcp.

I tried to connect the mcp via usb on an Imac via adaptpsx but it's not recognized.

Should it be possible to connect the mcp on a mac-computer via usb?? Any suggestions?

Anyone else running this setup on a mac?

Please help!!

Hi John,
My Aerosoft MCP is still connected via a serial connector to the pc instead of USB.
Could this be the reason the F/O EFIS panel is not working ?

If yes, anyone an idea where I could get the USB interface software for the MCP to work on a win7 ?

Many thanks
Michel

John-

I just brought home an old STAR 550 II receipt printer from the dust cupboard at my wife's store, hooked it up with AdaptPSX and voila- a fully functional flight-deck printer- BRILLIANT!

Sorry if this comes as a bit of an anti-climax, however, I have arrived late to the networked PSX party, and I had to express my satisfaction (and gratitude) at first hearing the printer cycle with an ATIS report :)

Ta!

Hi Carl!

Hehe, those receipt printers are excellent for on sim onboard printouts! I have an EPSON TM88II thermal printer, it's running very great! I added 12 empty lines (in AdaptPSX) so that manually tearing paper out is easy! AdaptPSX doesn't trigger auto-cutout at page jump, but that not really a problem, and (even better) it avoids small papers flying all over the place after every printing!
Enjoy the ATIS, and printer tests!

Pierre-

Yes- truly brilliant-

Software does this-

Hardware does this-

AND JOHN GETS A BIG THANK-YOU!!!! :-)

Hello,

For those like me who have troubles with AdaptPSX printer feature, I implemented an hardware printer feature in PSXAloft v.2.1.1.
