CH Yoke and CH Throttle quadrant

Hello,

I have assigned four levers of my CHTQ to the throttles 1-2-3-4. It is working but my problem is that the thrust is not smooth.
I am at idle 25%N1. I slowly advance my CH throttle levers, nothing happens, until passing a certain point, N1 is jumping 10% higher (around 36%). I continue to advance the levers, nothing happens and a few cm farther, N1 is jumping 10% again to 50% and so on.
So I cannot control the thrust precisely with the CH Throttle levers.
All is calibrated via Windows 7 config panel.
I tried with a lever on the CH yoke, one lever controlling all throttles, the problem is the same.
When I use the mouse on the clickspot near the thrust panel on the screen, it moves smoothly.
Any idea ?

Edit : Okay, it seems that the neutral zone of 100 is too high. I am doing some tests reducing the value.

I *think* your issue sounds like "stiction", a type of mechanical friction where two sliding surfaces at first stick together and then when enough force is applied, they suddenly release.  If so, it's a property of the internal parts of the throttle or joystick and/or its design.  Some people report that they have found a special purpose lubricant that stops this problem, but they also report that it may be difficult to take the device apart in order to properly apply the lubricant.

The default null zones in PSX are relatively high which can lead to jumping on many systems. I have my null zone set at well below 100 and the throttles become perfectly smooth.

My neutral zone for the throttles is 0.

If you set 100 you get 10 steps because the range is 0 to 1000.

100 x 10 = 1000

If you set 100 you get 20 steps because the range is -1000 to +1000, i.e. 2000 units.

100 x 20 = 2000

I have the same throttle quadrant. Set your throttles' neutral zone to 0, and that should do it. (If there is any jumpiness in the levers, you can increase the neutral zone to something like 5, and you'll still be fine.)
