Be advised, though: With the Usual Suspects at the controls, you don't want to think Endeavour, you want to think Terror and Erebus (and yes that's "Erebus", not "Airbus").

Hi WordFlight folks!

Wow, it's amazing to watch the "live from the flightdeck" video (with loads of "pilot induced oscillations" on every approach and landing)... and also to monitor the "complete sim restart today around 1800z!
It was also funny to see the crew playing with their iPhones around 1600z... LOL!
Aaaah, and I forgot... if you want to monitor what's going on in the flight deck, and if you don't want / cannot use Windows Media Player... then VLC 1.0.3 - http://www.videolan.org - is for you, simply choose "open network" and enter mms://202.3.36.9/wflive in the address field... it's running very great!

This year, I nearly completely missed WorldFlight... vacation were ending, and I had to both resume work, and get ready for FS Weekend.
Maybe we'll meet at the Aviodrome: I'll be at the X-Plane booth, not far away from TOPCAT, where I'll meet Christian and Judith once again this year. We'll be aside the FlightGear friendly guys... maybe a greta alternative for a visuals generator in the future?
So... happy end of WorldFlight guys... But where's the hairy flight attendant seen last year in Coventry's videos?

This worked for me, too - my Windows Media Player wouldn't start with this address.  I then discovered that the problem was actually the default firewall security settings that are built into my DSL router - I had to login to the router's administrative control panel and set its hardware firewall security to "minimal".  This of course means I'll now get the Swine Flu and who knows what else from the World Flight crew (grins) that was beginning their takeoff when I last looked in on them!!

About six weeks after WF 2009 came to an end, I updated my blog with some final edits and a simple list of all six videos that the UK WF crew produced this year.

All sims together raised EUR 20,500 for the combined charities. A great result, yet my donation page for the Air Ambulance will stay open for another few weeks. If you feel compelled to give the Ambulance a Christmas present, don't hesitate.

World Flight 2010 will mark the tenth anniversary of World Flight. I hope to be part of it again, and meet the same old hands and a few new faces.

WF2010 cleared for engine start!
