Hi Guys, final preparations are underway by all the teams for the Annual World Flight Event.

This year there are 7 Full Sized Simulators taking part lead by Matt Sheil's World Flight Australia   www.worldflight.com.au

Each team is raising donations for their chosen charity and each team links to all the other simulator sites.

The different websites will feature online tracking and some webcams on the flightdeck

Please consider donating to these very worthy causes ... and hit those Donate Buttons  ;)
Remember nearly all the FREE add ons you enjoy for PS1 were developed for this event and Matts Simulator.

To whet your appetite I have uploaded a Promotional video for UK World Flight ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0a5WrGqSxU

Enjoy ....

best wishes  PC

P.S.  The Music in the Video is called Octane and the license was purchased by Hoppie. Shiv Mathur of the PS1 Forum also adapted and enhanced the music track for us.

Many thanks for all your hard work Shiv :)

Finally a trailer with hardrock music! That's rare nowadays where almost every trailer and comment is accompanied by peeping techno music :-)

Who's that charming red-haired lady?

Cheers,

You're very welcome, PC  :D

Have a fun World Flight !

The Charming Red haired lady is Vicky Batt ... our Cabin Services Director ... shes a bit sinister really she hates the passengers

her profile is here  http://www.747simulator.co.uk/page124.html

and she can be seen in our 3 part blog videos (at base of page) from last year  http://www.747simulator.co.uk/page86.html

Hm, somebody changed the firewall of the boat's internet line and I cannot access my server any longer. Everything HTTP(S) still works, so I can fill up this Forum with wonderful messages about how a ferry boat for 1000 passengers can seem quiet if there are only 20. But then, I still have two hours before it even sails, and then eight more before I arrive in Harwich.

Anyway. Time to call upon the collective welldoing attitude on this Forum and politely ask for some attention to www.hoppie.nl/wf/ where I try to raise money for the WN Air Ambulance. As most of my fellow UK WorldFlight pilots are not frequenting this board, I think my only competition is the Sydney crew, and they can pretty well yell for themselves

Without Cristina and Carolina, UK WF 2009 will not be the same, but school obligations prevent us from taking her over to Coventry. World Flight misses her autumn vacation this year by one week, next year by two. With the overlap with the Lelystad Flight Sim weekend, maybe the Sim Gods could consider some moving around? Probably not. WF by now is such a big event institution that major industries are built around it.

A few days of training, constructing, and setting up ahead. Nice to break away from work for a while.

It feels like World flight has started now ... Hoppie is here and is re-arranging all the software in the sim and proving that there is no off position on the Genius Switch :)

Sim works... house reconstructed... first batch of supplies hauled in, second scheduled for 15:30 UTC... getting there!

[edit]

Can you believe it? Five hours before scheduled departure time, and instead of frantically getting the organisation done and fixing broken sim parts and fighting with bad internet lines, we're layouting the crew inflight meal menu.

...speaking as an ornithologist, I commend you plucky pilots for shaving the turkey before the meal. Those feathers would be a bit of a bother in the throat.

Have fun!
