Hardy.. Since you have made great progress on the functionality and recently the manual, can you provide an approximate release timeframe :>? It would great so that some of us can save enough to purchase the software.

Wishing you well and thank you for the great work you have done over the years !

^^^ these two posts mark a significant mile stone ... congratulations, Hardy -- well deserved!

Hoppie

who got where he is today because of PS1, period.

Kurt

That's cheap Hardy. - I'll take two then - I need more than 4 installs anyway  :D

And yes Jeroen - almost 6 years in anticipation plus my original hope for further development of PS1 from back in 2001 where I onboarded surely marks a huge milestone.

Congrats Hardy and thank you for your unbelievable effort.

Cheers

Hoppie,

The final delivery of PSX must also be a triumph for you.

It was, of course, thanks to you that HH accepted the original architectural arguments for the client-server model on which PSX is built.

With the availability of PSX, all of your encouragement of this way of development has borne such rich fruit.

Congratulations!
Cheers, Richard

My congratulations to Hardy and the people who have helped him bring PSX to its release date.

I am without words that would even begin to describe my thoughts and feelings about this accomplishment.
---------------------------------

A personal note - my grandchildren are scheduled to visit me for a couple of weeks in mid-July.  What a relief to learn that the PSX release won't happen until after their visit!!
Best wishes,

Phil Bunch

Where will we be able to purchase the software ? Will you create a website ? I want to be ready for this big release day...

Hardy Heinlin

Thanks all.

And, yes, if you thank me, you also need to thank the fantastic Beta team! Wthout the team, PSX wouldn't be so comprehensive and accurate as it is now.

Thanks, HH and the Beta team. Anyone who has followed this forum will know the labour of love that has gone into PSX. Truly a massive achievement and I hope this will be a huge success for Hardy.

I am counting the days until August...

In February 2011 I posted

I want to report that I am am still alive and due for my 78th birthday in August.

Wow what a birthday present for me. Having printed out the preview manual I am so excited I am nearly wetting my pants! (no not really)

Thank you HH for the magnificent effort you have made in producing what seems to be the equivalent of the programming of a full size commercial simulator.

I wait in great anticipation for the final product.

Written in happiness.

Derek,

Good !!! to see you flying within weeks, the 747:  Fully alive ....

And ... good to see too, your memory is still not on the M.E.L... ;).

The statistics do their job... :)

Actually I believe PSX software does exceed commercial simulators in nearly all aspects, except for costing $50M. Those hulking machines are not as capable as people believe. They do their job, sure, but their job is to support a different kind of training than what PSX is meant for.

Thank you Hessel.  Your advice was heeded! :P

Hardy Heinlin

Hi Derek,

the last 3 years flew by like 3 weeks, didn't they? :-)

(For me, at least.)

Thank you for your patience!
