Hi Chaps I guess this is the year of the sim and not the horse ,

Does anyone have any pictures of the 400 on its back with the nose facing skyward... trying to save myself the cost of a crane (yet again)..What would be ideal is back to STA aft of the lav or half way...  The reason for this is so attachment points can be designed, and one gets a clearer view for the placement of control loading hardware....

bit difficult doing it on ones back when deck is roughly 3.5 ft above you .. I dont get a clear overall view of the beastie..

thanks

MH, do you have the entire nose section, including the radome, or just the upper deck?

at STA 220  and aft of the the door I think STA 360 ? will check  and revert

thanks JW

I don't know about the door itself, but the "control compartment" goes back to Sta 380.

380 minus 220 = 160 inches (13 feet, 4 inches)

thank you "Mr X" or he who shall not be named .. for the picture very much appreciated and saved the cost of a very expensive crane ..I should like to add that driving or operating cranes, forklifts etc are one thing that guests get to do when they come down to TX.. All holes are marked and photographed and the persons signature applied along side with respective comment ... Just a little fun thing

@ JW I have the deck cut at the upper section it is some 16 ft long and some 16ft wide its prolly about 12 t tall , I managed to secure all the windows so I am quite pleased about that.. the location points I was talking about is for a motion platform..and those huge knuckles... I was lucky I managed to get one complete pump and all ... huge pump some 8 ft long and weighs close to 2 tonne.. Which is why I was asking about a bridging program to the current software .. So will be fixing that will just "Gut the bugger like a fish" and put new PSX  software in as it already  goes up down left right the variables are already there why re invent the wheel ?

My intent with all of this is to mate up to that the rest of the L1 section which I have (static) so that a person enters the flight deck via the internal staircase...pretty  friggin cool I think :-)  I can do this because I have the space and I can , then I have a cross collimated visual system complete to go with all this good stuff so the immersion experience should be quite good ... yes I think i have resolved the eye points :-)

As for population of the deck I finally broke down and brought the correct Obs seats the Ipecos the overhead is fully populated with real panels the MIP is complete less the Displays (see comments further below) the centred ped I am working on buying parts) at a price I think reasonable.. All the little bits for flight deck are in place ashtrays lights trim etc etc.. As for the Instructor station I used the Flight Engineers Station from a 300 re vamped that by adding 5 screens two of which are are HDTV to that station kept some of the "get your sexy on panels" from the 200 and have had those remade in Boeing brown along with new indicator covers (still waiting on new covers) and eventually they will all work via slaves for the moment I just want that area to light up.. however I do have the software and the screens working independant of each other .. thus I can have Instructor station  software on the primary screen and supporting documentation showing on the others pretty jollly cool even if I say so myself with the flight engineers seat

Now that is not what I am chuffed about the most.. what has me chuffed is 8x8  displays with casing plug and play which are currently in development the prototype cage is complete and looks and operates like the real thing ie handle locking stuff in now its just a matter of the LCD,s  being cut and that too is in hand

So I trust this gives you a more complete and full answer to your question of previous :-)
