An interesting slide show with many photos of "novel" uses of recycled airliners, etc:

--------------------------
In the USA, there are usually local laws that limit the uses to which one's land and "house" can be put.  There is a lot of sensitivity to one homeowner installing an bizarre house and thereby lowering the market value of neighboring homes.  In the area around most cities, there are very extensive zoning laws, and something as simple as installing a fence may require approval of a town zoning board.  Re our oceanfront home in Maine, we are not permitted to trim or cut down trees or bushes without an inspection and approval of a town official - this way the shoreline of the area is preserved and continues to look somewhat natural and mostly forested.  Documented proof that the tree is dead and a danger to the homeowner is required before trimming or cutting it down.  However, I don't see any laws in our town that prohibit installing an airliner instead of a conventional home (insert grins here)...
Best wishes,
