Good evening,

I am using PS1 and would like to use joystick. I would appreciate if I could receive some recommendations on joystick. One that would be easy to setup for a Windows XP PC.

Thank you

Jeroen Hoppenbrouwers

No joystick is easy to setup on Windows XP, as PS1 unfortunately does not support anything on XP.

You will have to install WinPS1 (http://www.hoppie.nl/747install/) and then use the joystick mapper to make the connection between USB sticks and PS1. This is a black art and somebody else needs to jump in to explain all this, since I have no clue, really.

Hi Hardy,

I am getting very excited for the release soon.

Just a question can we have a list of functions you can assign to a joystick bottom/switches.

Specifically my question is can there be a gear up and a gear down and gear off button assignment to a joystick.

Cheers,

Hi Blake,

there is a gear cycle function for a USB button:
OFF, DN, OFF, UP, OFF, DN, OFF, UP ...

You could install a gear lever event switch in your hardware or software system. Before you use it, synchronize it with the PSX status using the G key.

Direct gear lever control is available via TCP/IP network only.

Cheers,
