777 model released for x-plane

This is not an ad for x-plane but I thought this might be of interest to some of us.  The 777 package was released at the beginning of September and includes pretty comprehensive documentation in pdf files.  In my understanding, the documentation  closely follows the documentation of the real aircraft and is authorised by Boeing.  It contains: check lists, system descriptions, and much else besides.  For example:
- Operations manual 532 pages
- Pilot's Handbook 96 pages
- Checklists 198 pages
- Performance charts 153 pages

Another interesting feature is the CDU.  This can be run independently of the sim machine in a browser - great on an iPad for example.  This is really impressive.

Anyone interested can find it at www.x-plane.org.  You do not need a copy of x-plane to see the documentation, but of course you would to run the model.

I have it and am still working through it. It has some nice features, but it is hamstrung by being a complex add on on top of the X-Plane simulator.

I might need a faster computer.
