Hi Mike,

log.txt says:
Fetching plugins for M:\\X-Plane 9\\Resources\\plugins

Loaded: M:\\X-Plane 9\\Resources\\plugins\\PluginAdmin\\win.xpl.

M:\\X-Plane 9\\Resources\\plugins\\PS1Interface\\win.xpl : Error Code = 126 : The specified module could not be found.

x-plane starts up but the plugin menu only shows the Plugin Administrator

I tried it x-plane 9.70 full version and with x-plane 10 demo. Both show the same behavior even the log entries for the plugins are equal.

here's the dir listing

 Directory of M:\\X-Plane 9\\Resources\\plugins\\PS1 Interface

18.02.2012  22:22              .
18.02.2012  22:22              ..

31.12.2011  13:18             2.191 offsetIndex.txt
12.01.2012  16:57           122.210 offsetManual.txt
13.02.2012  16:42            80.384 win.xpl
               4 File(s)        326.995 bytes
               2 Dir(s)   5.603.282.944 bytes free

Thank you for looking into it. Please compare the error to this thread to http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?showtopic=50280 . That's why assumed a missing dll dependency inside of win.xpl.

Thank you
Markus

Hi Markus,

Thanks for the link.  Looks like I need to compile with some additional stuff.  I will look at it in the morning.

Best wishes,

Mike

Hi Marcus,

You may need the Visual Studio 2010 Redistributable Package (x86).

http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=5555

Can you try again with that installed and let me know.

You should also have in your .../plugins/ folder XPLM.DLL and XPWIDGETS.DLL.  I expect they are there as they are part of the X-Plane install - maybe not in the demo though.

I am sorry about this and appreciate your help in resolving it.  The PS1 Interface plug-in was developed with  MS Visual Studio 10 and the win.xpl on my site runs on my machine without any further files, but of course I have MSVS 10 already installed.

Good luck,

Mike

Hi Mike,

That's it. It's running now. So you could add the link to your installation documentation or change your linker settings to link the MFC or CRT Library static, whatever you use.

Thanks for your help again

Hi Mike,

I know this is an old thread, and there is development towards PSX, but just curious if there ever was a lin.xpl file in PS1Interface? Trying to run X-Plane10 on linux, with PS13a/747IPC on a virtualbox windows XP guest VM.
