Aerosoft Australia 747 MCP 64bit Drivers

Bails

Good afternoon
I have recently taken out of storage my Aerosoft MCP747 which I bought in 2002.
current versions of software are: MCP interface software v2.4 and firmware 1.8a.

In the meantime I have upgraded the PC to 64bit Win7 and I do not have any drivers to enable the MCP.
I have read some posts from 2015 which indicated that these drivers exist.

Any assistance to determine the availability of 64bit drivers would be appreciated. I do not want to bin the MCP.
Thanks and regards
David

Hi David!

A request such as your pops up now and then, and so I have zipped together my collection of files relating to the Aerosoft Australia MCP: you may download them from https://www.dropbox.com/s/7k8lvr9h4seusx3/Brian%27s%20Aerosoft%20Australia%20MCP747%20complete%20collection.zip?dl=0  (The link will remain active for a month: the zip file is around 16 Mb).

It's a tribute to the engineering of the unit that it still works perfectly after all these years!

However, although I seem to have become the unwitting repository for the Aerosoft Australia MCP files, I have to confess that these days I usually use Bernd's excellent "PSXonMCP2" software (http://aerowinx.com/board/index.php?topic=2611.0) with v2 of the VRinsight Boeing EFIS/MCP/COM hardware: nonetheless, I still occasionally use my old Aerosoft Australia MCP, and so all the files which I have used in connection with the AA MCP can be found in the zip file.

I hope you succeed in getting the unit going!    :)

Cheers,

Brian

Thanks Brian
I am so pleased that you have become the repository for MCP747 files, otherwise the MCP may have become a boat anchor.

The MCP is now back in operation with FS2004.
I have had little experience over the last few years with FS hardware (MCP and a couple of GoFlight units, plus some homebuilt controls) and software, therefore there was a little head scratching from time to time to remember what I had set up all those years ago.

Kind regards
David

Well done, David! I'm glad you got it going.    :)

As you say, the old Aerosoft Australia unit is far too well engineered and well executed to remain unused and unloved (it also works in parallel with my VRinsight MCP, so occasionally I think — why not? Embarras de richesse, but hey....).     8-)

It is a little fiddly to set up initially, notably in the COM department, but well worth the effort.

Cheers,

Hi guys,

a year later than the last post here: I need the Win10 drivers as well.
Any help available?
Thanks

Goodday Brian,

At the moment I want upgraded the PC to Win7 64bit (installed WIN XP 64bit) and I do not have any drivers to enable this Aerosoft Australia MCP.
Is there a possibility to receive this drivers again maybe, so I can still use this MCP into FS2004 ?

Thanks ain advance.

Kind regards,

John

Hi Brian aka "The grand repository of Aerosoft drivers",

Could I trouble you to get the dropbox link again for the 64 bit MCP drivers?

Many thanks in advance,

James.

brian747

Hi James!

TBH, the "grand repository" contents haven't changed for some years now, but hopefully they will still have something useful for you.

You can download the zip file from this link.

I hope you find something helpful.

Happy New Year to All !

Hi Brian

I downloaded the zip file from the above post but i still can't make the MCP747 to work with the windows 10.

I can see it in the device manager but when i try to install the drivers (from your link) i have this pop up who says:

Aerosoft MCP747 USB Serial Converter

The hash for the file is not present in the specified catalog file. The file is likely corrupt or the victim of tampering.

Do you have any ideas?

Jeroen Hoppenbrouwers

The checksums (hashes) are in the .cat files that I can see in some of the USB folders. I also see a whole lot of USB folders. So maybe you need to try another folder...? They all have slightly different names and obviously names matter for the catalogs.

Thank you for the reply, Jeroen.

I have tried everything with no luck. Unfortunately I can't use my MCP with windows 10 and pair it with PSX.
