Another video from "Dennis Vijverberg, Brakes Released"

In the last moments of the video, you will see some satellite data.
This is an older Inmarsat Classic Aero unit.
I always wondered how interested people would be if I would rewire "my" Iridium SATCOM unit for interfacing with PSX... or, in some kind of the opposite way, to rebuild the avionics software for use on a PC, so that it can display on the PSX MCDUs and really simulate work.
There is very little "interesting" stuff that you can do with a SATCOM box. It provides two SATVOICE Safety Voice telephone channels to the pilots, with which they can call the typical aeronautical radio stations (not necessarily ATC -- it still is mostly by radio operator relay) and home base. And the datalink channel takes over from VHF ACARS once VHF drops out over deep water.
So I wonder what would be the fun part of this; except for interfacing real avionics to PSX for the coolness factor.
