Title: The Huge Guide to PSX.NET
Post by: beat578 on Tue, 20 Jul 2021 13:19
I finally managed to finish the most important parts of my guide to the  PSX.NET Universe. Gary, Mark and others developed the amazing Amount of 13 Add-ons for PSX. The latest (PSX Sound) dropped just a few days before. So the guide became quite huge, but i wanted to cover all of the tools.

In cooperation with Gary (Thanks for all the feedback!!) i wrote a guide with the most important informations to all the tools and add-ons in the PSX.NET Universe. I hope you find it helpful. The guide can be downloaded here. It's work in progress, Please feel free to give feedback, critis or advice, i try to implement that.

Have fun with the greates set of add-ons existing!
Kind Regards

Beat,

Thanks again for all your work on this, it's a work of art and something we've needed for a really long time!

We don't know each other yet out of the blue you emailed me a draft asking if it was useful.  Proving yet again how great this community is.

Thanks
G

Hi Beat!

And thank you for giving Gary's software suite the documentation that it deserves!     (https://s20.postimg.cc/6wmor6yvx/yahoo(anim).gif)

I feel sure that, with the benefit of your careful and helpful explanation, BACARS et al. will become accessible to more users than was previously the case. With apologies to Gary, approaching his software collection always reminded me of the mosquito's comment when it found the nudist beach — "It's not what to do, it's where to start!"

But now there is a clear roadmap for new users.

Huge thanks to Gary for the software, and to you for the guide.    (https://s20.postimg.cc/46462h5f1/beam.jpg)

Cheers,

Brian

Thank you Gary and Bryan for your kind words. I feel honoured Bryan, because i still use your guide's from time to time and they are legendary, helping non professionals to really get into PSX. So, they have been my inspiration to try to help people into the world of BACARS. (I didn't realize how complex the whole PSX.NET Universe is, until i started to dig deeper).

Beat - thank you for taking the time to write this!

I have great admiration for people who write documentation, and it's often the case that the process of writing it reveals good ideas for the developers to implement in the software.

Thank you so much !

Very well structured and written, excellent read, and made me finally understand some subjects I was long willing to understand but was "ashamed" to ask in the forum 😏 ???
