Hi guys,
JP found a bug in PSXseecon (https://www.lekseecon.nl#PSXseecon):
The indicator lights for the BigActionSwitches AltnFlap (3162), AltnGearNsBd (3163), AltnGearWing (3164), FlapOvrd (3166) , GearOvrd (3167) and TerrOvrd (3168) are now powered with the gT102 bus instead of gR7736 (which was wrong).
Other changes are:
All indicator lights SIOC variables for BigActionSwitches can now also be used in a SIOC program without the corresponding SIOC variable for the controlling the switch.
Added SIOC variables for Qi259 up/to Qi268 and cleaned up some other Qi variables that were not relevant.
Enjoy,
Nico
Jean-Philippe has kept me busy :-), here are some more changes to PSXseecon:
Version 3.24:
• Redesigned the implementation of rotary switches with variable terminals, such as the Source selector switches SrceIrsCp (Qh119), SrceIrsFo (Qh124), SrceAdcCp (Qh120) and SrceAdcFo, because in certain configurations the old solution was not correct.
Read more in the new section 3.22 of the Manual.
• Fixed labelling bugs: SrceNavCpCR renamed to SrceNavCpCC, SrceNavFoCL renamed to SrceNavFoCC.
• Relabeled/re-numbered the terminals of the FO source selector switches such that everything reads clockwise.
Version 3.25
• Redesigned the HydDem1 (Qh184) selector while it is also one with a variable number of terminals (AUX or not).
• After adding this parameter to your PSXseecon.cfg file
ENG_STARTERS_DOMINANT=0
the SIOC variables for the Engine Start Switches Q267 .. Q270 are no longer dominant over the start switches in PSX, which makes it easier if you are using a solenoid to reset your hardware switch based on info from the Virtual start switch vars. See Manual 2.2.10.
Hi Nico,
Just downloaded and ran PSXseecon 3.25 and there is no 64 bit version (not sure if it is only 64 bit now), also the title and about still show 3.24.
Cheers,

Hi Alex,
My mistake, I forgot to update the title. Now fixed, please download again.
And yes, there is only a 64 bit version as indicated in the Manual, section 1.1
Enjoy,
Nico
Thanks Nico.

I just saw your gmail (in my spam box...). Yes you can run two instances of PSXSeecon on two separate PC's.

Nico
Yeah, not a big fan of spam....prefer corn beef and cabbage myself :)
Thanks for the reply.

Hi Nico,
Just wondering.... (hmm you say another bit of pain coming...)
Will you modify PSXseecon to emulate the NG FMC with coloured text? (Or is that too difficult?)
Cheers,
Alex B

If you buy me the upgrade package, I might do it :-)
But where are the specs? In the netwerk documentation I don't see any text about it. How is the colour info coded and sent via the network as Q variables?
Cheers,
Nico
Maybe Hardy has some info on how the colour info is sent... maybe it is just hard coded into the FMC display graphics engine within the jar file....
Cheers,
AlexB..
Does this help?

Hi Asboyd,
Version 3.27 supports the NG FMC, jus add one line to your psxseecon.cfg file:
LCD_CDU=1
Find some pictures in the ReleaseNotes (https://www.lekseecon.nl/downloads/psx/ReleaseNotes.pdf)
Enjoy the colors!
Cheers,
Nico
Thank you Nico... will give it a try...
Cheers,
AlexB
If you have downloaded 3.27 already, please do it again. There was a typo in the VERSION_CHECK parameter.
Shall do :)
AlexB
Version 3.28 released:
Upon request: added a SIOC ctrl variable for the Refueling Qi220 var:
Qi220, RefuelingCtrl , 5220, A
PSXseecon tested under Windows 11, all works fine.

Hello Nico and PSX simmers
I am so stupid that just deleted the whole pexseecon by accident. I want to download it with PSXseecon website but just found that that whole website changed. The only thing left is the Real Traffic. I can't find any documents about the PSXseecon /SIOC-PSX program. Sorry for my stupid behaviors. And maybe it is somewhere in the forum. Hope to find the link to download them again.
Jack.
Hi,
Kiek has removed the ,,old" PSXeecon from his website because of small demand and it is no longer supported. The new PSXeecon versions are for P3D and MSFS only and are very close to perfection with lots of features.
Maybe he'll provide you with a file if you ask him personally.
The best option would be to use Realtraffic alone, without PSXeecon.
Regarding SIOC, I don't know what happened to this.
Best regards,
Dirk
Thank you Dirk.
I interface most of my cockpit with PSXseecon/SIOC. It is wonderful and very easy to use! So sad that it is not supported any more. But anyway it is almost perfect. Even without any update anymore. I am still looking for the PSXseecon to download (Not the Real traffic but the one to interface home cockpit)
Right. I will try to contact Kiek with email. Thank you.
Regards
Jack
Jack,
I have placed 3.29 at https://www.dropbox.com/s/c6eixs1d58ajqmo/PSXseecon_v3.29.zip?dl=0
I am sure Kiek will not object.
Cheers,
AlexB
Thank you very much, Alex.
I will keep it well! This is absolutely perfect for PSX interfacing job!
You are right Jack.
I keep a copy on dropbox, flash drive and backup DVD's along with my other PSX related add-ons + sioc...
One cannot be too careful... :)

AlexB

Hi guys,
If you send me a P.M I'll send you the requested files. I still have the PSXseecon sources and I still maintain it! I regularly compile it with the latest C++ compiler from Microsoft.
However, it is no longer on my site because it was confusing for the my current users of PSXseeconTraffic. You have to focus you know ;-)

Nico

Thanks for sharing Alex.
I've wanted to do some interfacing/exploring with an Arduino and PSX. Unfortunately, starting PSXseecon v3.37 errors out with "Error 98: This version has been reverted, download version 0.0.0"
The log shows:
Sat Mar 9 14:24:59 2024 (utc) PSXseecon version 3.37.0
MAIN_WINDOW_X=400
MAIN_WINDOW_Y=20
No PSXseecon.cfg found, default values taken
[json.exception.parse_error.101] parse error at line 1, column 1: syntax error while parsing value - invalid literal; last read: '<'
lf_startUp_as_Thread
Error 98: This version has been reverted, download version 0.0.0
This is on the same PC as PSX, PSX was started in server mode first. Am I doing something wrong here? :)
Hi Kiek,
Thanks for creating PSXseecon! I bought PSX late last year and recently purchased OC I/O cards to interface with PSX. I'm trying to get PSXseecon to work on my Win11 desktop (everything runs on one PC at the moment), but version 3.37 errors out as above.
Alex was so kind as to provide version 3.29, which seems to work for him. Unfortunately this version gives me:
System Error: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.: "C:\DumpStack.log.tmp"
The file was present and I removed it, but after deleting it, the error remains. It's probably something on my system as it is working for others, but any pointers as to where the culprit might be are greatly appreciated.
Thanks again for all your software, all the live traffic in P3D/MFS is great :)
Made a little progress (with version 3.29), after disabling dump stack logging as follows in the registry
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\CrashControl]
"EnableLogFile"=dword:00000000
the error went away, the next one seems to be:
Version Check: latest <!DOCTYPE html> not valid
lf_startUp_as_Thread
System Error: status: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.: "C:\hiberfil.sys"
This is on a fresh Win 10 installation, UAC off and PSXseecon running as administrator. Not sure why PSXseecon is looking at these files at all.
Visual C++ Redistributable (x64) 2015-2022 version is 14.38.33135.
Sebastian,
Try to run PSXseecon without admin privileges, I do not have admin rights set on my version.
Cheers,
AlexB
Alex,
I'll try that! I started without, but have made changes along in the troubleshooting process.
Cheers,
Seb
Today I managed to get it all to work (version 3.29 for now) 8)
I focused on SIOC first, with some testscripts, compiling and monitoring. After understanding what PSXseecon was trying to find and expect it started to work ('static' for the variables was one of the issues). Buttons, LEDs and rotary encoders all work now. So onto deciding what 747 panels to go with, which to build first and go spend some money ;D
One step closer in the homebuilt 747 cockpit plan!

Hello Nico, I am using PSX and I used PSXSeecon 3.37 to connect my SIOC, now I have a problem and I get an error "[json.exception.parse_error.101] parse error at line 1, column 1: syntax error while parsing value - invalid literal; last read: '<'
lf_startUp_as_Thread
Error 98: This version has been reverted, download version 0.0.0" I don't know why that error appeared now and I can't connect my devices to PSX. What should I do to recover my system? Thank you

Hi Jhon,
I ran into the same problem, Alex figured out that version 3.29 is still working (confirmed). Do you still have that version? Alex has a copy on Dropbox if you need one: https://www.dropbox.com/s/c6eixs1d58ajqmo/PSXseecon_v3.29.zip?dl=0

Hi guys,
Sorry for the inconvenience, but I unfortunately deleted the version info file at my web site. Now it is back again and you can run PSXseecon 3.37 without that error message about reverting to 0.0.0....
I've also put back the PSXseecon part at my website https://www.lekseecon.nl/
See at the bottom for downloads, manual, release notes, lots of SIOC code for PSX and my SIOC tutorial.

Hello Nico, thank you for your response, I immediately downloaded it and will continue enjoying my simulator. Very good software.

Hi Nico,
Thanks!! As I just started interfacing PSX and OC hardware, this is very welcome.
Your example scripts really helped me to get into it :)
Off-topic question: do you still interface hardware with PSX yourself?
Cheers!
