Title: Aerowinx doesn't start on my macbook pro M1
Post by: Timo on Tue, 22 Jun 2021 20:03
Hello folks, I'm new here and I just downloaded Aerowinx PSX from aerosoft.de.
I am not an IT-professional and i need some help!
I use a macbook Pro M1 BigSur version 11.4.
I also installed Java 16.0.1. (i can read out the java version in "terminal".)
After the download, i moved the aerowinx-folder in the applications-folder (deutsch: Programme)
by double-clicking on "AerowinxStart.jar" the java-icon appears in the dock, but nothing else happens...

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks, Timo

one problem solved - another appeared:

i deinstalled java 16 and replaced it with java 8 and now aerowinx is running!

but there's an error-message: "openal.dylib can't be opened, because the developer can't be verified..."

any ideas?

Thanks, Timo

Hello Timo,

if you hear sound in PSX, you can ignore that "developer" hint re "openal.dylib". It's just an Apple specific hint.

Hello Hardy,

thanks for your answer.
I found out that you can define an exception in macOS preferences for these error-messages.
Now everything works fine! GREAT SIMULATOR!

Thanks, Timo
