Is there an option to display the Range Ring on ND?
I searched in the manual but have no result. Would it be possible to have this option available? Thank you.
Hello,
do you mean the three white range arcs? The option is here:
Instructor > Model > Programming > ND: "WXR/TERR range arcs".
They can be displayed on the expanded compass rose in VOR mode and MAP mode, and when WXR or TERR is selected.

This may be a feature of the 74-8, but not of the 744, as far as I know. It's not available in PSX.
Our 744 fleet has this feature. And the picture I posted above is from our 747-400 FCOM v2

China Airlines in Taiwan. We have that on 747-400F, 737-800, 777-300ER, and 777-200F
Is it related to TCAS?
Affirm. the ring indicates 3NM around aircraft. Will show up when TFC selected on the EFIS panel, and the Range selected is less than 160.
