Does anyone know what version of firmware I should have on the MCP?
Currently it reports running 2.2, although I have read that there is a 2.6 version.

The back end was one of my first projects I started writing for PSX, so its not very errr 'opensourceable'

However more than happy to help out with any ideas or share code.

Have managed to get it working (sort of) with Java 8_151... but I have to use AdaptPSX Beta 8.

I say sort of, because the option to send hardware status to PSX does not work and if I load a situ the displays do not always show the correct info. I have also found that if I start cold and dark then the MCP works OK, except for the hardware to PSX option.

As we know, during alignment the IRS is able to detect unwanted motion. There's even an EICAS advidory message for this case. So it's not quite clear to me why the detection of unwanted motion should be impossible before the alignment is completed ...

Or should the trim check be impossible when the IRS is OFF?

The trim computation delay in PSX is actually a simulation of the computing time of the real FMC; the delay is about 4 sec in the legacy FMC, and 1 sec in the NG FMC. This delay simulation is not related to the IRS alignment time.

Full alignment or just longtitude and attitude (i.e. 1 min into the alignment). Because in PSX the CG value appears with a small delay prior to full IRU alginment.

Thanks for the info, just to confirm this issue is only affecting the CARGO variant?  Never seen this on the 744 lite or full size versions.

Alex,
try to find the older drivers (from 2013) that you see in pics above.
New drivers don't see to do the job.

Not sure but i think that they are included in Brian's "complete collection".
