Accessories / Another StreamDeck profile
Last post by Will - Sun, 19 May 2024 17:37
Here's another StreamDeck profile, just to put some other ideas out there.

A couple of points... first, I've got a good mix of peripheral controllers, so I wasn't trying to put every possible command on the StreamDeck, just some things that keep me from having to reach for the mouse or the keyboard at busy times. Also, I have everything on just one page(*), because flipping through various pages is a little bit of extra work that sometimes makes things seem a bit busy.

The white/green buttons on the upper left are for controlling the views (layouts). The two green ones (HOME and HAND FLYING) are the ones I use for most things. The center column in this section (OVHD, HOME, CNTR PDSTL) are top-to-bottom from the overhead, to the captain's view, to the center aisle pedestal.

The nine blue buttons in the upper right are for MCP controls, and I think are self-explanatory. I put them top-to-bottom in order of how frequently I use them, heading controls on top.

The "Boeing brown" buttons and the green A/P button are MCP switches.

For future expansion, if someone ends up making an app that lets the StreamDeck send Qvars into PSX, then I would add a button for entering/leaving the runway that does things like packs, landing lights, strobes, and TCAS. I still have to the the mouse for those at the moment.

*) "EICAS PLUS" and "EFIS" open new pages with additional controls, but either I use these rarely, or else I find it easier just to use the mouse for these, so the these two StreamDeck pages pretty much go unused. These pages don't have the same colors as the home page, and are really kind of unfinished, so please ignore them. I'm not posting this as a finished project, just an illustration to show a concept.

Hi Hardy:  just to close the loop.  The jarfix software worked perfectly and allows me to open Aerowinx without any further problems.

Accessories / Re: Aerosoft Australia MCP747
Last post by asboyd - Sun, 19 May 2024 04:41
I now have the Aerosoft MCP connected to my Windows 10 64bit PC. I have downloaded Brians collection and tried numerous combinations but as soon as I select enable serial and click start AdaptPSX shuts down.
I have tried Beta 2.6, 2.7 8.0 and the latest 1.2.2

I have a new USB to serial but am thinking I might need to install a serial header in my machine and use pure serial connection.
It looks like the prolific drivers do not work correctly with AdaptPSX.

I have error logs from AdaptPSX Beta 2.6 and 1.2.2 if they are of any help.

Cheers,
AlexB

Accessories / Situ load, plane turns and run...
Last post by B747-400 - Sat, 18 May 2024 14:40
Hi Hardy and Gary

strange behaviour detected: when I save a .situ at LICJ gate 214, and reload it immediately, the bird turns nearly a fully 360 and start moving.

Pls see enclosed video, .situ file included in ZIP-file.

It won't happen, when Garys WASM is disconnected. Scenery is from AmSim (orbx).

Any ideas / solutions?

THX and BR

Perhaps we could start a petition (read: email onslaught) to add the 744 next.

Looks very nice.
