Just trying to get proficient on this type, so what does that dot represent (waypoint?)?

That was just a remaining pixel from a magenta route leg :-) It has no meaning.
That situation file was created with version 10.0.0 in 2014. When I delete a route in a newer version, there'll be no pixel left, as far as I can see.

I realized I saw this dot today as well, but it's barerly noticeable.
It's the same situ as the video: 4 engines out.

I get the dot too, did reseting the route work for you?
