Sad indeed - an incredible mind and industry visionary.

[Pierre Theillere]

Hi,

Yep, quite sad, and he was only 56 years old... The thing is: I got to know about it in the middle of the night, from my iPhone (good old 3G...) via a "live news" alert... That alone says a lot on how things have changed since my first "Mac" days in 1988 at school, that as on Apple IIe.
Sad, but... as someone said and sung: "the show must go on"...

[Matt Sheil]

And it is not just apple that he will be remembered for.
Pixar Movies like Shreek, Cars, Toy story

The DVD
the list goes on, he inspired or developed a lot of things people are not aware of.
