Born on 29 April — And So Was My Favourite Boeing

I was born on 29 April 1974. Back then, I didn't suspected that my birthday carried a hidden little joke from the universe: 74 → April → 744. A numerical coincidence waiting patiently for takeoff.

Fast‑forward fourteen years.

On 29 April 1988, while I was celebrating my 14th birthday, Boeing decided to give me the best unintentional present ever: the maiden flight of the 747‑400. Not a rollout, not a taxi test — the real thing. The moment she lifted off for the first time, winglets shining, engines humming like they knew they were being filmed in that beautiful air‑to‑air footage:
