Hi, does anyone know which ATA chapter discusses the EEC/FADEC, I assumed it was 73 but it's not.

Mariano

ASCTU744,

It is chapter 73 (73-21).

The 767 AMM absolutely does provide info on the FADEC in that chapter, but the 747-400 AMM only explains what EEC means, but no schematics etc.

Mariano

The 744 (RR) AMM gives a nice, detailed dive into the EEC in 73-21 but, yes, the GE AMM is much less descriptive.

After the IRS, the ECU/EEC is my favorite system. Fascinating technology and redundancy, in my opinion.

Mariano

Ah I see, the PW4000 ones also had way more data. Yeah the EEC makes things infinitely easier for pilots ;D no more assym. throttle settings lol ;D

P.S. Please contact me at boeing550@gmail.com, I'd like to ask you something that can't be discussed on this forum.

ASCTU744, was the answer provided by Mariano sufficient or do you want to me to look up something? I have original KLM B744 ATA's here. Haven't looked at them thoroughly yet but they seem complete.

Oh he absolutely did ;D , it was indeed 72-21 though engine specific. CF6 is extremely sparse when it comes to the EEC, PW a sufficient amount and RR a lot more. But thx for the offer:)!
