Guys, do you remember this :

Navigraph Announces Taxiway Planning and SimLink V2 Update

".....Alex then gave us a short preview of the upcoming SimLink v2 application. SimLink v1 pulled sim data once every second, however with v2 this has been increased by at least 4 times. Jokingly the team said "we're not trying to turn charts into your nav display, but we're not stopping you either"......"

So I think that with the existing software, Jamie already has reached its limits.

Jamie

I can send it 10 times per second if you want :-D Depends what PSX' frequency is for the position data.
The Simlink app acts as some sort of 'firewall' or 'proxy'.

PSX (??Hz) -> Simlink bridge (2Hz-??Hz) -> Simlink App (1Hz) -> Navigraph servers

The Simlink app is the limiting factor here. Which is a good thing.

Hardy Heinlin

PSX main server sends flight data at 5 Hz.
PSX boost server sends at frame rate.

Maybe this will arrive soon and fix the stutter issue? Here's hoping your incredible contribution will be compatible Jamie.
Thanks again.
(Sorry, the image link seems to have broken and I can't find it again. It refers to Simlink 2.0 with Navigraph saying they are in the advanced stages of getting it ready for release)

I would not worry too much about it, unless they start encrypting/encoding all data, chances are it "just works". I might need to give the update-frequency a little boost, but other than that I don't expect too much of a difference.

Quote from: Chris Stanley on Thu,  2 Jul 2026 20:56Maybe, once again I'm pushing my luck but does that re open the door for a simple direct link from PSX to vPilot?

Just came in from the Vatsim Dev group:
QuoteDue to the deluge of vibe-coded pilot clients we keep receiving, any requests for FSD/AFV access for newly developed pilot clients **will be rejected** until further notice.
Well im not 'high' enough in the Vatsim Dev community to have any influence here  ;D I made a SSO Vatsim connector for Wordpress VACCs, non-AI :D apparently widely used. But that's about it.
Im not per se interested in a Vatsim client. Maybe AI can bridge between PSX and vPilot. I will give it a try when im back home. Still finding my way with Python. Like it a lot though.

Edit: the EULA forbids this. So dead end unfortunately

Hi all, I made a second Navigraph account and activated the full product just for a month. Just to test and see what all the fuzz is about and guys that Simlink Bridge works pretty bad I must say :-D

The problem is the position was wrong, making taxiing and turning very hard. So I've added an offset which works much much better. The turning spot was placed wrong I guess, don't know how to explain in English, but you get the point. Currently I found an offset of around 15m works great. Optionally you can add or substract with a parameter:

--offset 2adds another 2m offset of -2 to substract.
Again: turning works best below 10kts GS, around 5kts or less works best making hard turns.

Stay tuned for an update today!

I'm far from a Simlink expert: just see this "Tip/ Center" anchor point in Settings > Moving Map. So this update might be obsolete, don't know. Just experiment with it and let me know.

Chris - thanks for igniting this and Jamie, what a great job. Having the 777 CDU working with PSX and now integrating with Navigraph, I am in hog heaven!
