Flight Plan not Loading

Hi Hardy,

Something weird started happening to my sim, it just started a couple of days ago, unable to load any flight plan and execute it. I use either Gary's planning web portal or Simbrief, never had any issues before.

When I inter the downloaded route into the CDU (Co-Route) I get weird letters and fails to load, after multiple attempts to load the route I get (PERF/VNAV UNAVAILABLE) msg, I also get (RESYNC FAIL - SINGLE FMC).

I checked all C/B's closed, No random faults selected. I reinstalled the latest PSX update file no help. I tried different aircraft models no help, I don't use any specific situation saved when I fly, I do random from/to flights.

Any ideas what might causing the flight planning to crash? Airplane still fly normal without VNAV/LNAV planning.

Hi Sam,

the problem lies in your route file that you want to load in the FMC. A route file is a text file that needs to be formatted in the Aerowinx format or PFPX format. Could you post the content of this text file here, please, so we can find the error?

Maybe your route file is zipped? The FMC cannot read zip files.

Another test run could be to please download this .route file I just created in Simbrief ....https://drive.google.com/file/d/11zcSwLOsO6litGpgcP4xllLUOHvMEchD/view?usp=drive_link

Copy the route file as is into your Aerowinx Route folder and then see if that loads up correctly. May I please also suggest to start from cold & dark and then then clear all faults etc to start afresh ... worthwhile a try.

I will double check my system for any unzipped files. I will try to load the flight plan as you suggested and update you.

After few hours of verifying all files and testing all applications, turned to be an interfacing app on the network causing PSX route loading faults after it was updated. Not sure which part of the app causing the issue in PSX but when I closed this particular app PSX was back to normal.

Thanks for your support and I'm glad I found out what was causing it.

Great to hear it got fixed.

May I please ask: which APP? Was it the Simbrief Downloader?
If someone else in the community has a identical issue, this could perhaps make trouble-shooting easier.

Hey Mark,

Actually its a custom application to interface some hardware with PSX. It was updated last week and caused this issue somehow, its being worked to resolve this issue, hopefully .
