Hi guys,

Im currently using PSX with an Xbox controller for all major flight control surfaces (will be building a sim shortly) just to get used to the setup, layout and how it all works with Gary's MSFS24 link.

Everything is working great except for one thing. The xbox controller i use has to be used wirelessly due to the distance from the pc, but when it turns itself off after a while of inactivity and I turn it back on PSX can no longer register its inputs, it still shows all the functions in USB on PSX just won't respond to any.

The controller itself works fine and all checked and verified through USB controllers in windows so it's just not being recognises through PSX - naturally you'd say well just don't let it turn off, but unfortunately it isn't that easy. I do use it as much as possible plugged into the charger to try and stop as many turn offs as possible.

Is there any ways of having PSX re-search for the usb controllers during a flight. If I end and restart PSX it's fine, I just lose all functionality during.

Any input on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Here is an idea. This might not work!

Get vJoy. Map your Xbox controller to Vjoy. Change your Defaults.pref file so the USBUnkownIncl=1 instead of 0 to allow PSX to recognise VJoy. Now map your controls in PSX from scratch to the virtual joystick. PSX should now ignore XBox disconnects as VJoy will remain connected even when your Xbox controller switches off. VJoy should reconnect and disconnect the controller gracefully. Or maybe not.

Thanks for that. I had changed my USBunkown value to 1 hoping that would work but didn't try Vjoy. Will give it a crack. Cheers!
