Hi Thierry,

Still no luck, I updated the plugin, still the TCAS in PSX showing and alerting about the own plane from Xplane. What can it be?

Hi Joaquin,

I found the likely cause.

The plugin was assuming that the own aircraft is always target #0 in the X-Plane TCAS list, but that is not always true with LiveTraffic. So the own aircraft can still be sent to PSX as a traffic target, which then creates the permanent alert.

The fix is to explicitly reject any TCAS target that is extremely close to ownship, instead of relying on the index in the list.

I'm adding a filter to ignore targets that are very near the own aircraft and at nearly the same altitude. That should remove the false alert while keeping the real traffic.

Hi, please see page 1, I modified the filter to eliminate aircraft who are very close to me (> 90 meters)

Bluestar

I never could get this program to work in my system.  The issues are most likely on my end since others have been successful with this program.

With my grandson's help (working on Phd in aeronautical engineering) I hope to have my version up and running in the next couple of weeks.
Grace and Peace,

Hi Thierry, Still no luck. It seems to be the same plugin, same date etc. and no changes. TCAS still triggers on the own xplane.

Is it the updated plugin really in the folder? Thanks for all the bother.

A rare animal indeed. a single unit with left EFIS,MCP and EICAS connected with USB. Great for a desktop sim. I was lucky enough to buy one of these recently....you will just have to wait until someone wants to part with one.....FDS no longer makes nor supports it.

Can someone give me the complete list of files (preferably in a package) and where to install them for this to work please?
I have tried to follow this post but I am confused as to what is needed and where it is needed.
I have no idea how to install this application.
I have X-Plane 12 on Windows11.
Many thanks.

Hi,

Create two subdirectory PSXWIEW and also 64, inside PSXVIEW  ->  PSXView\64

copy the file win.xpl  to D:\X-Plane12\Resources\plugins\PSXView\64
and the psxsync.cfg in the root of XPLANE12
that's all.

Adapt of course the drive where xplane is installed. for me it's D drive.

edit psxsync.cfg to change the ip adress if PSX is not on the same PC

At the end you have D:\X-Plane12\Resources\plugins\PSXView\64\win.xpl
and  D:\X-Plane12\psxsync.cfg
