I think women are the better gentlemen. I've seen only a few minutes of the games here and there, but it's enough to see the difference: Women don't spit on the grass.

In men's football no minute passes without at least two or five guys spitting on the grass. When a male player has done an uncool move and feels embarassed, he spits on the ground to regain coolness.

This mostly happens in the penalty area. When the goal keeper jumps at the ball and rolls on the grass, there's a 90% probability of getting a spoon full of slime on the shirt.

Funny you should say that... I was just watching replays of the matches and one woman did exactly that! I won't say which team  :mrgreen:

Just watched the US-Brazil match yesterday - with my heart in my throat for 120 min plus.  As far as I'm concerned, those ladies can spit anywhere they want as long as they kept taking PK's like that!  Some of them looked like they would tear out the back of the goal netting.
