The latest Windows installer for PSX although is saying 2501, it actually installs the previous airac cycle 2413.

The installer for MacOS it does install the 2501 cycle.

Do you also have the same problem?

Yes, I do! (Navigraph)

I have AIRAC 2501 from Navigraph installed without issues. Or to be more precise, I have a database that identifies itself as 2501. I have not actually verified what's inside it...

Note: PSX will not choose the latest AIRAC automatically. You need to choose it in the Instructor window, About/Quit tab, Navigation database dropdown.

Apart from the dropdown box, you can see which databases are installed by looking in the Navigation\-Custom\List folder in your PSX install.

On startup, PSX will use the navigation database listed in the file Navigation\-Custom\Misc\listSelect.txt. This file is updated when you shut down PSX cleanly (using the Quit Simulator button).

And keep in mind that the MCDU always announces "todays database and next". Unrelated to what you have actually installed (use Instructor Panel for that).

Although I have clearly download the 2501 Windows installer (psx_2501.zip) and i have installed it

there is no 2501-Navigraph cycle in my PSX

I use "FMS Data Manager" (from https://navigraph.com/downloads) to update PSX and some other older addons. Maybe you can try that one instead of downloading the data manually as ZIP files?

- Install FMS Data Manager
- Under Addon Mappings, click Add
- Choose Aerowinx Precision Simulator X
- Under "Install into", choose the \Navigation\-Custom\List folder of your PSX install
- In the Addon List, select Aerowinx and click Update". You should then get a 2501-Navigraph subfolder in the List folder

I can confirm that the file psx_2501.zip is broken, it installs into "2413-Navigraph".

PanosI

You use the FMS Data Manager that's why you don't have any problems with the current cycle.

Anyone that is using the standalone installer for Windows (only) in the current cycle faces the same problem.

It worked for me also.

I use the FMS manager via Navigraph and I show cycle 2413. Not sure why, all the others have installed correctly.
I am using Windows 10 - 64bit.

As I use symbolic links for my client PC's they all show the same...

I thought it a bit strange at the time, but it worked so did not do anything about it.

Ah well....!

I uses the Navigraph FMC download manager to my main machine.  I then copy the file to my other two machines .

I'm using Win 10 (64) on my main machine and Win 11 (64) my other two machines.
Grace and Peace,

Navigraph must have updated their site as I now see a "new" update for 2501.
I updated via the FMS manager and all is now showing correctly in PSX and PFPX, they did release a 2413 version so maybe they had the naming wrong.

Cheers,
