Done. Only 3 votes so far ... come on, everyone.

Voted.
And it's still not November 5th yet.

Hmmmm, I voted just now, but I see I also commented on the thread back in 2022.

It's less relevant to me now that I use Gary's excellent app to link PSX to MSFS. With that, Navigraph connects seamlessly to MSFS for a perfect moving map and flight plan viewer, and the total linkup (PSX, MSFS, and Navigraph) is really without any headache. So much so, that the Navigraph moving map feature is enough to support the purchase price of MSFS as far as I'm concerned. But I do still see the relevance of a native PSX connection, so I voted.

I voted as well. The more native integrations, the better.

Only 19 votes ? :(

It's completely disheartening for the PSX community.

I finally found the "Vote" button. :o
So 20 now.

... side note ...

I understand NaviGraph has written their own "SimLink" connector to MSFS.

I also understand that "for a while," MSFS has published their official SimConnect interface to MSFS (although there seem to be "more advanced" versions of SimConnect, etc.).

Is it reasonable to assume that SimLink therefore sits on top of SimConnect?
Would it be feasible to re-program a SimConnect simulator that makes SimLink, and other software, believe it connects to MSFS instead of to PSX?

Obviously we won't want to dive deep into the old FSUIPC hell and keep the PSX SimConnect simulator fully in line with MSFS, but... is it technically possible to provide just a subset of features, just enough for the Navigraph moving map to come alive?

I admit I have no clue about SimConnect as I don't have any MSFS-like sim around.

Don't get me wrong, I want Navigraph to support PSX natively. I said so on Navigraph's thread, and voted YES.

But the obvious workaround really isn't bad. MSFS connects seamlessly now to PSX, and Navigraph connects seamlessly to MSFS, and thus by the transitive property, Navigraph (already) connects seamlessly to PSX.

You don't even need to have MSFS taking over the visuals; just make it's screen the size of a postage stamp, and you don't have to care about frame rates or all the other legitimate MSFS issues. I've been doing this for months now and there's never been a problem. My flight plan shows up on Navigraph as a purple line, and the moving map tracks my PSX aircraft perfectly along the line.

For people who haven't done this, let me mention a few features...

- Navigraph shows local and Zulu time at your PSX present position and your destination.

- Navigraph displays some easy buttons for charts: when you load your PSX flight plan, as long as you enter a SID, STAR, and approach, then you automatically get a button to click for each procedure and approach, as well as for the 10-9 taxi diagram. One click each; no need to pull up a whole menu to choose from.

- Navigraph also shows you, optionally, your PSX GPS track, the bearing from your PSX aircraft to your destination, your PSX indicated altitude, your PSX true altitude, your pressure altitude, the distance to the horizon, and any of a dozen or so other customizable data points.

And when you are taxying to parking, you can see your PSX aircraft moving on either the 10-9 taxi chart, the gate charts, or Navigraph's own airport depiction.

In sum, if you haven't seen it yet, Navigraph is probably more feature-rich and more useful for situational awareness than you might think, and with PSX/MSFS integration, Navigraph/PSX integration is already quite easy.

If you want MSFS for visuals, that's lagniappe. If you don't care about MSFS for visuals, just make it a small window.

Let me finish where I started: I do support native PSX/Navigraph integration; that would save a step (and would save the purchase price of MSFS, and would open Navigraph to people who for whatever reason can't use MSFS). I assume most people know what I'm talking about in terms of features and connectivity, but I can post screen shots if anyone would find it helpful.

You are absolutely correct Will, but for example some folks sometimes just like to use PSX on its own, eg on a MacBook when travelling.

Another example: in cruise on long flights I would rather shut MSFS down completely for power and heat reasons and just use Navigraph on an iPhone to keep tabs on the flight remotely.

PanosI

Exactly that.

With your macbooks/laptops, your iPads, an extra portable monitor and a controller such as

https://flightsimcontrols.com/product/gladiator-evo-space-combat-edition/
or

https://eu.winwingsim.com/view/goods-details.html?id=551

you have a multimonitor setup of the best flight simulator of the world on the go with zero effort.

That's why is so important the native support.

Please guys go and vote even if you don't care at all in order to "put pressure" because is the only way   that the organizations take these decisions.

With 25 votes they don't even bother.

What do you guys think after Richard's today reply ?

Quotethere are no updates at the moment - we will you inform here, when there are any news available

I think it's corporate language for: We're not doing anything for your request at the moment.

PanosI

Considering that the thread in my first post is from January of 2022 the corporate "we are not doing anything for your request at the moment" speaks volumes.

So the only way at the moment and most probably and in the future to see this

is the PSX.NET.MSFS.WASM Version 10
