Start MSFS

Enable Developer mode -> Options -> General Options -> Developers -> Developer mode ON

In the (new) menu bar -> HELP -> SDK Installer (Core)
This downloads the SimConnect installer: MSFS_SDK_Core_Installer_0.22.3.0.exe

Install this MSFS_SDK_Core_Installer_0.22.3.0.exe

You can disable Developer mode from now on! No need to keep this activated.

Quit MSFS

Edit simconnect.xml >
C:\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\SimConnect.xml

change:
  <SimConnect.Comm>
        <Descr>Static IP4 port</Descr>
        <Protocol>IPv4</Protocol>
        <Scope>local</Scope>
        <Port>500</Port>

to:
  <SimConnect.Comm>
        <Descr>Static IP4 port</Descr>
        <Protocol>IPv4</Protocol>
        <Scope>local</Scope>
        <Port>20747</Port>

save the file

Start MSFS

(disable developer mode in MSFS -> Options -> General Options -> Developers -> Developer mode OFF -> F11 apply and save)

World Map -> just select a random field, with the 747-800, Set as departure and start a flight -> Fly -> Ready to fly

Try again with WideFS.

--------------------

My start sequence:
- Start PSX

Network -> Main -> The Main server -> Start
Network -> Boost -> Start

^
|_ you can save this as start default.

- Start MSFS -> preferably start a flight with a 747-800 on your departure field/runway. Preferably somewhere near your PSX starting point. Doesn't need to be your exact starting point!
- Mute all MSFS sounds
- Start WideFS

^
|_ Network -> Connect
|_ SceneryGen Bridge -> Start Scenery Generator Bridge (FSX/P3D/MSFS) ->
Sometimes you need to reload the PSX Scenario due to position errors/crashes. Sitiuation -> Load -> Reload

Optional:
- Start ActiveSkyX
- in WideFS: AlofWx -> Select AS Flight Plan file -> locate C:\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\Roaming\HiFi\AS_XPL\Weather\activeflightplanwx.txt

- in WideFS: AlofWx -> Start Module (Dynamic Mode)

Once you get this working, you are golden!

From now on, setup PSX as you wish. It's possible to start cold/dark, select a position e.g. move to a specific parking spot. This is a bit different and tricky in PSX, but not too difficult.

Position yourself to e.g. EHAM parking spot B35 in PSX:
Situation -> Position -> Aircraft Position -> EHAM <enter> (just overwrite the N00 00.0 W000 00.0 with EHAM)
New window pops up -> Select Gate B35 -> done!

i don't know if its the correct xml as my packages msfs folder is on my E SSD

Just try to connect to the local IP address first: 127.0.0.1. For other IP Addresses, you have to define in Simconnect.xml.

Well I actually suggest you change to PSX.NET as I did a few minutes ago and it's awesome:
