Gary,

My system is working OK after an uninstall and reload a couple of days ago.  I'm still getting the messages to update, but I just ignore them.  I'm showing 10.0.1 on the client and router apps.
Grace and Peace,

Bode,

how do you ignore?

I have two options: install or no install.

When no install is selected, router and client won't start.

Cheers

Quote from: Gary Oliver on Wed, 16 Aug 2023 08:01That should be fixed in the latest download of the WASM module.  It was fixed a day or so after release.

Seems not. I downloaded this only a couple of days ago (15/16 AUG).

I got an update this evening- now running 2.0.2 (OK 2.03) and I too have the missing gear in the external view.  It seems to pop in and out... but 99% invisible.

Mate- anyone else noticing this, or is the issue behind the yoke as usual....?

Does anyone else have issues with PSX crashing into the ground even though you are visually at 100feet or so above the ground in MSFS? (this is away from the airport) Maybe this has always been an issue, even with P3D. I haven't noticed it before, as I have been recently flying low around scenic areas and enjoying the amazing detail of MSFS on the ground.

Ton van Bochove

Had some identical problems but a complete zoom in did the trick for me. But view in general makes flying complicated.

not sure if this helps anyone but this is what I done and Ive had no issues, go to community folder and remove, 4 files, - PSX.NET.MSFS.LIVERIES, & the CVT, PSX.NET.MSFS.WASM & CVT, then downloaded the new Router and Client, and run them, I didnt delete the old v2 ones. then install the v10 WASM aircraft and everything works smoothly. (sorry if an unhelpful post but tired from a nightshift and a couple of morning beers) happy flying.

Hi all,

I may have missed it somewhere, but wondering if PSX.NET.MSFS.WASM supports MSFS traffic injection into PSX?

I have PSX.NET.MSFS.WASM up & running on a single PC and it works well, but it would be good to have the MSFS AI traffic injected into the PSX ND.

I've seen the forum thread 'MSFS Traffic Sync Between Instances' below, but my understanding is this is about sharing traffic between networked PCs - I'm just running on a single PC.

https://aerowinx.com/board/index.php/topic,7203.0.html

If someone could point me in the right direction, it would be appreciated.

Regards, Steve.

Will

There is a solution if you use RealTraffic. Nico built an option into PSXTraffic that will allow for a four-way connection: RealTraffic, MSFS, and PSX, through PSXTraffic. Just look on the "meta" tab in PSXTraffic, and click the Aerowinx checkbox.

What you get is RealTraffic's traffic projected visually into in the MSFS world, and showing up on your TCAS in PSX.

Hi Will,

Thank you for the advice. It's been a while since I've looked into real-world traffic solutions. Before PSX.NET.MSFS.WASM I was more recently using JP's WidePSX that has an in-built traffic injector, so I've grown accustomed to having that solution readily available.

Hoping that it could be possible for PSX.NET.MSFS.WASM to have this as an option for single-PC use as well.

Regards, Steve.

Gary,

I'm pretty consistently seeing the aircraft floating when parked; all the landing gear are about 15 feet above the surface. Previously you recommended "Have a play in the router config file with 'model offset' which is a height in meters which the aircrafts main wheels are off the ground."

Can you please let me know where to find the router config file? I found the folder where the router's .exe file lives, but I can't find a config file. (I'm sure I just don't know what to look for.)

Thanks.

Will,

both confi-files PSX.NET.MSFS.Client.xml and PSX.NET.MSFS.Router.xml should be here:

C:\Users\<your username>\Documents\PSX.NET

If it's floating that much in the air something is wrong.

Can you check that as you move along the ground altitude displayed on the router is updating?

Will

1. C:\Users\<your username>\Documents is empty. No PSX.NET files or PSX.NET folders. Should I be looking somewhere else?

2. Gary, the Elevation on the router updates as the aircraft moves. I was at a few airports this morning and saw the aircraft floating, now it's floating a bit less. (Does that make any sense?) Now the wheels look to be almost touching the ground, but the wing gear are still tilted.

KOKC

The float was more pronounced at KOKC this morning. I landed at KOKC and met an AI aircraft on the taxiway coming towards me. It was also a 747, same PSX WASM white paint job as me. I recall that I could look down on the top of it, so I thought the camera in MSFS was too high. Instead, I saw that my aircraft was floating about 15 feet over the pavement.

That's not still happening, obviously, but you can see it's still floating a little.

Thanks.

HI,

@Will: have you searched them with Win search? No idea where else they could be.

@Gary: I recognice the same floating behaviour as Will! Those could be my pics. Yesterday I looked down on the top of the fuselage of an A 380 at VHHH  :o

Gary,

I played around a while with the MinWeightModelOffsetM in the router.xml.

The main bogies are always tiltet. Regardless if they are underground (offset 4) or when the plane is floating (offset 5) - all vals in btw. the same.

Another question:
when I send Qs122=1;0;0;3282;560;... instantly the plane and Qs121 jumps to =0;0;3.2820000648498535;567166;... and slowly comes back to ...;560672;...

Without router / client running, this huge jumps does not happen. Only minor ones, to 560564. What/why is that?

Cheers
Hans

So far my main problems have been:

1) To find out the best way to set an appropriate Zoom and view angle (down) to match the best I can the PSX visuals.

2) To find the reason why I often crash on finals to LPPT 02, when apparently I am at the correct spot in the G/S...

For 1) I am performing several tests with my single monitor @ 1920 x 1080, using a Layout that shows the windshield view in the PSX window, and using MFS in full screen. I also gave up on using Windows PowerToys and simply place the mouse over the PSX window in order for it to stay "on top"...
I also turn OFF all sounds from MFS when using it with PSX . NET. MSFS . WASM 744 and have created a controller setup with no controls being active other than Camera panning and zoom.

Regarding 2), there's some parallax / perspective bias introduced which makes flying the aircraft, specially under gusting winds and turbulence, in the short final, easier than in PSX standalone (?) I don't know exactly why but it feels smoother and more stable looking through the MFS view. The approach to Thessaloniki is a good test.

I decided to create a Layout where I can see the windshield view in PSX just bellow the MFS view on top of the PSX window, because I thought it might be somehow related to some sort of motion filtering/smoothing used by the bridge app, but after performing a few tests I believe both views respond at the same pace to roll and pitch inputs (?).

One thing is for sure. By far this is the smoothest ride I ever experienced with a visuals solution for PSX !

On my system the aircraft models (P3d/MSFS) set level with all wheels touching the ground at the proper height. Once those models are connected to PSX the nose wheels come off the ground slightly and the rear bogies do not appear to be completely extended.  When connected it is my understanding the models reflect the position of PSX.

It is my guess that the models from P3d/MSFS are not using the same datum plane as PSX.  I have the ability to see the P3d/MSFS model datum planes, but I don't have the PSX data for an exact comparison.  Until those datum planes are matched up there are going to be issues with the appearance of the P3d/MSFS models.  When I move the CG forward in PSX, the nose of the models will move down.

I've watched other PSX aircraft on Vatsim and any aircraft movements on the ground appear exaggerated.  I watched Gary make a taxiway turn on Vatsim and the wing actually hit the ground.  The deck angle on Gary's aircraft appeared to be about 5 degrees with the front wheels above the ground and the rear bogies below the surface.

Different terrain elevation databases between PSX and P3d/MSFS could also be a possible problem.

Just my observations.
Grace and Peace,

Bode

I've spotted what's causing the bogies to be tilted, the gear is sitting at 99% extending so the model animation is stuck as tilting.

More work to be done when I get some more spare time

Any idea, why the jumps occurs during repositioning via Qs122?
