QuoteTo get the zoom setting to "stick" next flight, set the zoom in the MSFS General|Camera|Cockpit Camera|Zoom settings menu

Okay, this worked for me. Now I have the same button restoring my preferred outside view and zoom within MSFS, and also bringing me to my "home" layout in PSX.

Just in case nobody has mentioned it yet... with MSFS linked to PSX, Navigraph can also link to MSFS, giving PSX users a very powerful moving map on the Navigraph charts display.

I know the MSFS old timers have probably been doing this for years now, but I'm coming late to the game and just using MSFS + Navigraph for the first time. And I'm impressed.

In fact, for me, just having the Navigraph moving map is worth the price of MSFS!

Gary,

When I started WASM 10 today there was an update for the client and router. There also was a message when starting the client - "Couldn't Find WASM module in MSFS Community Folder." The version for the router is 2.0 and the client is 2.02.

My system path to my Community folder is -

"C:\Users\bodeb\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community\PSX.NET.MSFS.WASM_V10".

The B744 model shows the gear when not connected using the WASM client/router.  When I connect to WASM with the client/router the gear disappears.

Hi Gary,

same message a few minutes ago, no gear as well!

That rises my question again: how to deactivate auto-updates and make them manual?

Thx & cheers

All,

I definitely didn't push any updates as I have not been at home for a few days.

Very odd!

I had same issue but redownloaded the client and router v10.0.1, sorted it, Try redownloading those.

I enrolled to MSFS beta, and got the latest SU13 beta update. This caused massive stuttering and lag on my PC. Opted out of beta and performance got back to normal.

This in case someone is experiencing performance issues.

I don't suppose there's much that can be done about this, but PSX is putting ice on my aircraft when MSFS shows clear skies. The weather on ground stations agree nicely; PSX and MSFS match up well at airports. But at altitude, I'm guessing each sim uses its own algorithm to decide on things like clouds, and they don't always agree. Maybe something we just have to live with?

Will,

The PSX weather especially when it comes to cloud layers and thickness differs from MSFS and Active Sky.  It is not unusual to have icing any time PSX is in IMC conditions and the OAT is below freezing and MSFS/Active SKY are CAFB.

Gary,

another auto update happes a few moments ago - same message and missing gear again!

The installer offers two buttons: "Install" or "Do not install". But when selecting "Do not install" neither router or client are starting.

Pls: is it possible, to have entries like "AutoUpdate = No" in both client and router config-xml files?

I have all my systems in the sim automated to start without any keyboard. Any new buttons needed to be clicked or broken updates interferes massively and cause huge troubles. THX!!

Cheers

Thats really really weird!

I will post an updater without any auto update functionality.... however I do wonder if theres a conflict with old and new versions... are you sure under add and remove programs there is only one version of the client and router installed?

Cheers

Affirmative, only one version of router 10.0.0.7 and client 10.0.0.11!

Gary-

I got an update this evening- now running 2.0.2 (OK 2.03) and I too have the missing gear in the external view.  It seems to pop in and out... but 99% invisible.

Hmmm, no updates here, Client V10.0.1 and Router V10.0.1, just in case that helps.

The camera seems to be centered on the MLG and is not 300 ft in front of it (I exaggerate).

Makes taxiing awkward as the expected eyepoint position is wrong.

That should be fixed in the latest download of the WASM module.  It was fixed a day or so after release.

The U/C issue also was not present with the prior build... I did not change the model... any thoughts?

All,

I can confirm no updates have been pushed since 4th August when I published this post originally.

The current versions as displayed in the respective Client and Router Apps are 10.0.1 (add/remove programs uses an internal build number so display 10.0.0.11 Client and 10.0.0.7 Router.  The latest WASM Module is the one posted on the 4th July, you can check this by checking that your "PSX.NET.MSFS.WASM_V10\SimObjects\Airplanes\PSX.NET.MSFS.WASM\cameras.cfg" file has an eyepoint of 0,0,18.5 on the 3rd line.

I can only assume we have an issue where somehow there are multiple versions installed on your computers from the previous version and somehow they are getting triggered (maybe from old shortcuts?) this ties in with the 'Cannot find WASM module' message as the older versions will not be looking at an _V10 folder.

So I suggest in add/remove programs remove any instances of the client and router.  You can then go into your 'Local Apps' folder at C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0 and look for any folders that start psx... and safely remove them to ensure older versions cannot be accessed.

Then do a new install of the above.

Let me know how you get on, this 'oneclick publish' is supposed to make handling installers really simple. :-(

Cheers
