ATM I have 4 speakers for the PSX sounds placed around my cockpit (inside the shell). I'm thinking of using my surround sound speakers for MSFS sounds, placing them further away in the corners of the room and in the ceiling.

Is there much point in me trying? Will that muddle all the sounds or would that actually be realistic (bearing in mind I'd have a shell in the future)?
