Hello guys,
I want to build a FPT 747-400 trainer like this one here:

https://www.lufthansa-aviation-training.com/de/-/fpt-boeing-747-400-pt02

What could be the sizes of the screens of the MIP ?
Maybe 21 - 18 - 21 ?

Thank you
Ahmed

The MCP they use is so real! Just want to know where to find one haha.

Hi Ahmend,

here's some data about my FDS MIP setup:

PFD/ND           - BenQ G900HD 18.5", VGA
Clock/RMIs       - LS-7 7", HDMI
Upper EICAS/ISFD - Lenovo ThinkVision LT1421 14", USB
Lower EICAS      - panel provided from FDS, VGA - no type available

But it depends how you build your MIP front panels. Larger display for PFD/ND/Clock would probalby work as well.

Pics of my setup here: B747Sim

Hello Hans,

thank you !

Didn't you built a 777 ?

Hi Ahmed,

oooh, long time ago ... the queen was always my great love, so I came back after having an affair with the 777  ;)  ;D

Tbh: the release of PSX in 2014 was the main reason for the switch.

Best regards
Hans

the mad hatter

I have 8x8 lcds sitting in orginal frames to get them cut id really expensive    i kinda lost interest in my sim after completing it

Same for me Hans.
I have built a 737-800 home cockpit but was never really happy with it.
When I fly the 744 on the desktop with some equipment (MCP-EFIS-CDU) it has a higher immersion than the complete built home cockpit.
So will will build a 744...
Do you have drawings of the mip ? Or a source for it ?

Kind regards
Ahmed

Hi Ahmed,

I remember an old thread in this forum, which will probably provide  what you need: Link

My MIP is from FDS, all other parts are genuine Boeing. So no measurements needed. The interior liners etc. are individually built according to live measures and the size of my room.

Best regards
Hans
