Inserting a discontinuity after the route

I think this is a simple question... Every now and then I have a need to put a discontinuity after the end of the route, and then some additional waypoints after the disco. Here's how I do it (assume ENDPT is the last waypoint, and waypoints A, B, and C are the waypoints I want to insert after the disco.) I do this by adding a dummy waypoint to the end of the route, and then A, B, and C after it, and then using DELETE to get rid of the dummy. (The dummy waypoint is usually my hometown airport.)

Adding the dummy (before the DELETE) looks like this on LEGS:

EDNPT
KORD
A
B
C

Then after deleting KORD, I get:

ENDPT
[ ][ ][ ][ ][ ] (Discontinuity)
A
B
C

...which is what I want. My simple question is this: Is there a better way to achieve this result, or is this typically how it's done? Thanks, everyone.

Nope. That's what we do on the line.

You could also insert KORD090 (which would fly a track of 090 after KORD) which would then insert a discontinuity afterwards) as an alternative.
