Re: CV 744 - this seems to be faulty switch / lamp. But, is 40 minutes somewhat expeditious or are they taking things slowly? Since the UPS disaster in Dubai, I would err on the side of caution and bring the plane as quickly as possible.

Re: CX 748 - Diverting over Black Sea, and returning to Amsterdam, suggests that it was not life threatening, But still, there are so many options to land, in case of ill crew, no? I wish the pilot speedy recovery.
