calibration lost and unable to calibrate again

Today I lost my calibration of my Thrustmaster 16000 (stick and Throttle) Under preferences the devices are recognized but all the items are off and some have functions I did not enter.
When I open the calibration screen the following is seen in the top of the screen: <html> <i> Off calibration.

It is a Windows 8 laptop with no updates lately. The only thing I uploaded today in X-Plane is a four seasons library.

I disconnected the laptop from the powernet and I removed the battery but without joy

What text is in the pref file you're using for starting PSX? (If you start with AerowinxStart.jar, you are using Aerowinx/Preferences/Default.pref.)

Hardy, I renamed the pref file and let PSX make a new file. The same problem is there: the joystick is recognized by the system but the calibrated value reads "0"instead of the real value. I used another joystick with the same outcome. So it is not joystick related, nor USB related .....but what is it ?

Never heard of such a problem before. Can you enter any values in the edit fields that display "0"?

Does the problem only occur on this computer or on your other computer as well?

The bottom line is that everything is working fine now. I had to try it 3 times before the throttle/stick were calibrated.
The only difference with now and the first installation of both devices is that the calibration buttons were initially in the USB/function screen but today I had to choose every function and after that the button appeared. It must be a hardware glitch because it worked fine on my other computer.
