VisualPS1 PROBLEM

Hello,

First off all I am sorry to ask all of your help again. But I can;t find what the problem is.
I am using Windows XP SP2 with PS1.3, 747IPC, Broker, FS2004 9.1 and VisualPS1 latest version. I am trying to make it work on one pc first and then over a network, I also tried it over a network but that doesn't work also. But first to make everything a bit simple one pc.
First I start broker, second FS2004 and load it up on a runway, third ps1.3 on a airport or in the air and final VisualPS1. Everything connect nicely and FS2004 loads the position of the aircraft but from that moment the problems starts.
FS2004 moves with the aircraft in heading and altitude but it doesn't moves. When VisualPS1 starts up it only positions the aircraft ones but then it stays on the positions and only moves up and down or turns the heading but it doesn't go forward it stays on the same position. But it does bank.

Please does anyone know this problem and a solution for it?
Thank you,
Daniel Rosh.

Hi Daniel,

Allthough I do not have VisualPS1, it might be related to missing keys in your vmread.cfg file.
Did you properly configure the vmread.cfg using the VMREAD Wizard: http://www.hoppie.nl/vmreadwiz/.
Just an idea...

Good luck anyway, Holger

Hi,

Well I did it manually but now I also did it via the wizard. Thank you for the link to the wizard but also this doesn't work, the aircraft in FS2004 still stays on the same position. But when I load a different flight in PS1.3 while FS2004 is running it repositions ones and stays again in the loaded position and is again not moving.

There are two sets of variables. One comes via 747IPC and the second one via the Broker. If the Broker complains about "no path to PS1.3" or something like that, make sure you let it know where PS1 is installed on your disk.

Hi,

I found something because in VisualPS1 it says FS Ground Speed error.
And yes Jeoren you are right Broker says that there is a problem with the path when it starts up. It says the is something wrong in the path. But the path is correct and all the software for example 747IPC connect to it without any problem only VisualPS1 says FS Ground Speed Error. I do now think that there is a connection problem between VisualPS1 and Broker. But again in Broker I have set the path to C:\\PS13 and that is the correct path.

Thank you,
Daniel Rosh.

Ah. Did you switch "External Data Link" on in the PS1 Instructor Preferences?

Perhaps I need re-educating on finding discussion threads

As a big help could you tell me which section of the 744 forum the thread is in and any chance of a direct link to the file

Appreciate your help
