Apparently some users aren't satisfied, even being a offered update!

I really can't understand some mindsets ( well, starting with mine :-) )

Anyway, question is, will we be able to use Steve's profiles with it already ?  Steve ?

1. You cannot please everybody all of the time, even when an entirely new version based upon a commercial release is offered free of charge.  I suspect the issues individuals have encountered are down to user error.

2. People I am afraid.

3.  You BETCHA!

Hi guys!

I used to be a very regular user of PFPX v1.xx... but had dropped it, as I was lacking time (moving...) and also completely switched to Mac. But, less than a week ago, I updated my "Crossover" version, and managed to get it work!
I (of course) subscribed to Steve's profiles: they're amazing and work fine.
The documents generated by PFPX v2 are great, specially the wind charts, and the progress monitoring chart! I trying to find a way to "print" it as PDF for a tablet use (paperless flight!). I seem to remember that PFPX v1.xx had an "export as PDF" option for the flight package... maybe I'm confusing with another software?

Surely this depends on the nature & capabilities of the OS where the PFPX user decided to install PFPX?  I have the ability to 'print to PDF' since I have the necessary software & permissions to do so already applied to my OS & default printer.

I do not think it was a software capability that originally 'shipped' with my PFPX v1.xx download.  I can still 'print to PDF' with PFPX v2.xx.

Excuse my clumsy explanation ... I am afraid that when it comes to computer software I am not the sharpest pencil on the table.

Hi Steve!

No worries: I'm a bit geekish ... My computer (and mostly OS) setup is a bit exotic I guess, so it doesn't feature some of the functions embedded with a regular Windows computer! I'll install a virtual printer (such as PDF Creator) that generates PDF on the virtual machine that runs PFPX and I guess that will do the trick!

I can recommend CutePDF Writer if you're looking for a fake printer driver that does the job. Just print to it and it will pop up a dialog "Where to dump the PDF?"
