Nav Data 1603 and EGPWS

Hi,

I noticed in the description for 1603 that it includes data for the EGPWS "landing short of runway alert". Is this is a new feature? Just curious, as I thought RAAS offered this kind of alert, and I'm not aware of ever having encountered it.

Hi,

not a new feature.

It's the feature described on page 541.

P.S.: You get this alert -- for example -- on the Honolulu LDA offset approach when the terrain override switch is not pushed. Or -- for example -- on the Mumbai approach situ from the DVD where the EGPWS uses the map-shifted IRU L instead of GPS.
