I have tried everything with no luck. Unfortunately I can't use my MCP with windows 10 and pair it with PSX.

PanosI,
Did you manage to get this working with USB on Windows 10 64-bit?

Cheers,

If anyone has the Aerosoft MCP running under Windows 10 64-bit, could you please let me know what your setup and connection is?
I can get the 64-bit driver installed and it shows up as Com6 (I turned off driver signing to do this).
If I run the Aerosoft MCP panel I can test all displays and buttons.

When I try to run AdaptPSX (2.6b or 2.7b) I try to enable the serial connection. When I select Aerosoft MCP and Com6 (of which there are two showing in the drop down list) when I try to click start adaptPSX simply shits down.
If I have Aerosoft MCP software open, adaptPSX debug shows the com6 as busy.
I also tried the latest AdaptPSX 1.2.2 but that seems to be trying to receive CDU data.

I am hoping someone can shed some light on this, for example do I have to use a USB/serial adapter and the 9pin connection with prolific drivers for Win 64?

If I do, do I need to set a specific baud rate for the Com device.

Cheers,
AlexB

Hi Alex,

Unfortunately the USB divers from Brian's "complete collection" doesn't work.

The solution for me was posted below in first and fifth post

https://aerowinx.com/board/index.php/topic,7000.0.html

I use these specific Prolific drivers and the port settings

Also this old vesrion of AdaptPSX.

It is in Brian's "complete collection"  as adaptpsx.b2.6.zip. The last version doesn't work.

And I don't use the Aerosoft software. Only for panel check and to assign the com port in preferences.

Panos,
Thank you for the info. I have ordered a USB to serial for Windows 10.
Will install it and use your settings to test the MCP.

Thank you,

Looks like AdaptPSX may not "like" newer prolific drivers.
I can get MCP747.exe to test the unit, but as soon as I setup and enable the serial port under AdaptPSX, it shuts down when Start is clicked. I do have error logs, but have unable to contact John regarding ADaptPSX...

Alex,
try to find the older drivers (from 2013) that you see in pics above.
New drivers don't see to do the job.

Not sure but i think that they are included in Brian's "complete collection".

Have managed to get it working (sort of) with Java 8_151... but I have to use AdaptPSX Beta 8.

I say sort of, because the option to send hardware status to PSX does not work and if I load a situ the displays do not always show the correct info. I have also found that if I start cold and dark then the MCP works OK, except for the hardware to PSX option.

Does anyone know what version of firmware I should have on the MCP?
Currently it reports running 2.2, although I have read that there is a 2.6 version.

I'm running the v2.6a version of the program interface but my firmware is 2.2

Thanks Panosi,
  Same with mine.
Still trying to find out if the EFIS units have options for the missing centre switches?
