Question about VNAV and auto-throttle

Hi,

Whilst trying to replicate the issue I saw with VNAV, I noticed that VNAV speed control initially seems to make very large thrust changes. With a light aircraft this results in speed overshoots until it settles down. It seems the AT system is "learning" as it does this? Not only are the thrust changes initially large, but the thrust lever motion is relatively fast. Later on, not only are the changes smaller, but slower.

Just curious as to what it is doing.

I've tried to replicate it, but no luck. I think B10 was bugged in some way. The FMS problem disappeared too.

I'll try it with B17 and see what happens. Hopefully it is gone.
