VisualPsx - I Got To Page 8 Of The Manual And ....

As the title says .... all went perfectly until I attempted to run VisualPsx for the first time as per the instructions on page 8 of the manual ... no matter what I have tried today I have been unable to get this .exe to run.

I am at a total loss.  I am running 3 computers across a hard wired network through a router on the latest version of Win 7 with static ip addresses.

I have P3Dv2.5 installed on one PC - networked to VPilot & ASN which are installed on one of the other PCs (so networking is not new to me).

PSX is installed on a third networked PC.

Most puzzling was the fact that RunwaysPsx successfully ran on the P3Dv2.5 computer compiling the necessary file correctly.  I have checked & rechecked the simconnect files, ensured that all 3 computers are fully up to date (they did not need any of the additional files offered in the download).

AFAIK I followed the manual to the letter but alas I cannot get VisualPsx to run at all.

Any starters for ten?

Hmmm, never used a networked configuration, but are you sure all of the IP entries in the XML files are correctly set ?

All of the MS VC++ libraries installed ?

Of course you used v7.1, meant for P3D v2.5 right ?

Well - a more successful day on Monday!

I spent the whole weekend well away from the dreaded computers & downloaded the 7.1 files this morning & was successful! Visual PSX now connects PSX to P3D as a scenery generator successfully each & every time I run it & can apply the necessary RWY offsets as required .... happy days!

I am now stuck once again - this time with TrafficPsx on page 19.

Both Visual & Traffic are running on my laptop connected across a hardwired network to a P3D PC & PSX a PC - all good!

On this laptop I also have installed both Active Sky next & VPilot which both connect to P3D just fine as they always have.

The issue is that TrafficPSX cannot 'see' Vpilot' & therefore I cannot take the process any further as described at point 13 on page 19 of Gary's manual ...

''Select the pilot client that you are running then (14) click the Save Pilot Client selection then Restart button.''

Any ideas??

Fixed.

Sorted, I am an ijut when it comes to this type of things & had neglected to copy the Pilot Clients .cfg across from the common files folder.
